And the divorced mothers are allowed to suckle their children two full years, if they wish to complete the suckling. And the man for whom the child is born is responsible for both their provisions and clothing equitably. A soul is not burdened except with what it can bear. No mother shall be harmed because of her child, nor shall a father be harmed because of his child. And for the guardian is the same requirement. So if they wish to separate out of mutual agreement and counsel, then there is no sin upon them. And if you want to hire nursing mothers, then there is no sin upon you if you return what you have been given equitably. And be aware of God, and know that God is watching over what you do.

O people of the Book, do not overstep in your system, nor say about God except the truth. Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger of God and the fulfillment of His word to Mary and a Spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and do not say: "Trinity." Cease, for it is better for you. God is only One god, be He glorified that He should have a son! To Him is all that is in the heavens and the earth; and God is enough as a Caretaker.

A`lamū 'Annamā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā La`ibun Wa Lahwun Wa Zīnatun Wa Tafākhurun Baynakum Wa Takāthurun Fī Al-'Amwli Wa Al-'Awlādi Kamathali Ghaythin 'A`jaba Al-Kuffāra Nabātuhu Thumma Yahīju Fatarāhu Muşfarrāan Thumma Yakūnu Ĥuţāmāan Wa Fī Al-'Ākhirati `Adhābun Shadīdun Wa Maghfiratun Mina Allāhi Wa RiĐwānun Wa Mā Al-Ĥayāatu Ad-Dunyā 'Illā Matā`u Al-Ghurūri

Know that the worldly life is no more than play and distraction and adornments, and boasting among you, and to increase in wealth and children. It is like plants that are supplied by an abundant rain, which appear pleasing to the rejecters. But then they dry-up and turn yellow, and become useless hay. And in the Hereafter there is severe retribution, and forgiveness fromGod and acceptance. This worldly life is no more than a deceiving enjoyment.

58:17
Lan Tughniya `Anhum 'Amwāluhum Wa Lā 'Awlāduhum Mina Allāhi Shay'āan 'Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri Hum Fīhā Khālidūna

Neither their money nor their children will avail them anything from God. These are the dwellers of the Fire, in it they will abide.

60:3
Lan Tanfa`akum 'Arĥāmukum Wa Lā 'Awlādukum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yafşilu Baynakum Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Başīrun

Neither your relatives nor your children will benefit you; on the Day of Resurrection He will separate between you. And God is Seer of what you do.

60:12
Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu 'Idhā Jā'aka Al-Mu'uminātu Yubāyi`naka `Alá 'An Lā Yushrikna Billāhi Shay'āan Wa Lā Yasriqna Wa Lā Yaznīna Wa Lā Yaqtulna 'Awlādahunna Wa Lā Ya'tīna Bibuhtānin Yaftarīnahu Bayna 'Aydīhinna Wa 'Arjulihinna Wa Lā Ya`şīnaka Fī Ma`rūfin Fabāyi`hunna Wa Astaghfir Lahunna Allāha 'Inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun

O you prophet, if the believing females come to make allegiance to you that they will not set up anything besides God, nor steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill their children, nor fabricate any falsehood, nor disobey you in any matter which is righteous, then you shall accept their allegiance, and ask God to forgive them. God is Forgiver, Merciful.

63:9
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Lā Tulhikum 'Amwālukum Wa Lā 'Awlādukum `An Dhikri Allāhi Wa Man Yaf`al Dhālika Fa'ūlā'ika Humu Al-Khāsirūna

O you who believe, do not be distracted by your money and your children from the remembrance of God. And those who do this, then they are the losers.

64:14
Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū 'Inna Min 'Azwājikum Wa 'Awlādikum `Adūwāan Lakum Fāĥdharūhum Wa 'In Ta`fū Wa Taşfaĥū Wa Taghfirū Fa'inna Allāha Ghafūrun Raĥīmun

O you who believe, from among your spouses and your children are enemies to you; so beware of them. And if you pardon, and overlook, and forgive, then God is Forgiver, Merciful.

64:15
'Innamā 'Amwālukum Wa 'Awlādukum Fitnatun Wa Allāhu `Indahu 'Ajrun `Ažīmun

Your money and children are a test, and with Godis a great recompense.

71:21
Qāla Nūĥun Rabbi 'Innahum `Aşawnī Wa Attaba`ū Man Lam Yazid/hu Māluhu Wa Waladuhu 'Illā Khasārāan

Noah said: "My Lord, they have disobeyed me and have followed he whose money and children only increased him in loss."

72:3
Wa 'Annahu Ta`ālá Jaddu Rabbinā Mā Attakhadha Şāĥibatan Wa Lā Waladāan

And Exalted is the Majesty of our Lord, He has not taken a wife nor a son.

4:75

And why do you not fight in the cause of God, when the weak among the men and women and children say: "Our Lord, bring us out of this town whose people are wicked, and grant us from Yourself a supporter, and grant us from Yourself a victor!"

4:98
'Illā Al-MustaĐ`afīna Mina Ar-Rijāli Wa An-Nisā' Wa Al-Wildāni Lā Yastaţī`ūna Ĥīlatan Wa Lā Yahtadūna Sabīlāan

Except for those who were oppressed from the men, women, and children who could not devise a plan nor could be guided to a way.

4:127
Wa Yastaftūnaka Fī An-Nisā' Quli Allāhu Yuftīkum Fīhinna Wa Mā Yutlá `Alaykum Fī Al-Kitābi Fī Yatāmá An-Nisā' Al-Lātī Lā Tu'utūnahunna Mā Kutiba Lahunna Wa Targhabūna 'An Tankiĥūhunna Wa Al-MustaĐ`afīna Mina Al-Wildāni Wa 'An Taqūmū Lilyatāmá Bil-Qisţi Wa Mā Taf`alū Min Khayrin Fa'inna Allāha Kāna Bihi `Alīmāan

And they seek a ruling regarding the women, say: "God will give you a ruling regarding them and what is being recited to you in the Book regarding the orphans' mothers whom you wish to marry but have not given them what was decreed for them, and the oppressed from the children: That you stand for the orphans in equality." Whatever good you do, then God is aware of it.

26:18
Qāla 'Alam Nurabbika Fīnā Walīdāan Wa Labithta Fīnā Min `Umurika Sinīna

He said: "Did we not raise you among us as a new born, and you stayed with us for many of your years?"

56:17
Yaţūfu `Alayhim Wildānun Mukhalladūna

Moving among them will be immortal children.

73:17
Fakayfa Tattaqūna 'In Kafartum Yawmāan Yaj`alu Al-Wildāna Shībāan

So how can you be righteous when you have rejected? A Day which will turn the children white haired!

76:19
Wa Yaţūfu `Alayhim Wildānun Mukhalladūna 'Idhā Ra'aytahum Ĥasibtahum Lu'ulu'uāan Manthūrāan

And they are encircled with eternal children. If you see them you will think they are pearls which have been scattered about.
