| Arabic | | وَتِلْكَ الْقُرَىٰ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ لَمَّا ظَلَمُوا وَجَعَلْنَا لِمَهْلِكِهِم مَّوْعِدً |  |

| and We made | wajaʿalnā | وَجَعَلْنَا | ج ع ل | |
| for their destruction | limahlikihim | لِمَهْلِكِهِمْ | ه ل ك | |
| an appointed time. | mawʿidan | مَوْعِدًا | و ع د | |
