| Arabic | | وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ وَمَن قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يُسْرِف فِّي الْقَتْلِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنصُورً |  |

| he should exceed | yus'rif | يُسْرِفْ | س ر ف | |
| the killing. | l-qatli | الْقَتْلِ | ق ت ل | |
| Indeed, he | innahu | إِنَّهُ | ا ن ن | |
