20:127
وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي مَنْ أَسْرَفَ وَلَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّه ِِ وَلَعَذَابُ الآخِرَةِ أَشَدُّ وَأَبْقَى
Wa Kadhalika Najzī Man 'Asrafa Wa Lam Yu'umin Bi'āyāti Rabbihi Wa La`adhābu Al-'Ākhirati 'Ashaddu Wa 'Abqá
And it is such that We recompense he who transgresses, and did not believe in the revelations of his Lord. And the retribution of the Hereafter is more severe and more lasting.
39:53
قُلْ يَاعِبَادِي الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لاَ تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعا ً إِنَّه ُُ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ
Qul Yā `Ibādī Al-Ladhīna 'Asrafū `Alá 'Anfusihim Lā Taqnaţū Min Raĥmati Allāhi 'Inna Allāha Yaghfiru Adh-Dhunūba Jamī`āan 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu
Say: O My servants who transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of God. ForGod forgives all sins. He is the Forgiver, the Merciful.

6:141
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّات ٍ مَعْرُوشَات ٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَات ٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفاً أُكُلُه ُُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِها ً وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِه ٍ ٍ كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ~ِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُوا حَقَّه ُُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِه ِِ وَلاَ تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī 'Ansha'a Jannātin Ma`rūshātin Wa Ghayra Ma`rūshātin Wa An-Nakhla Wa Az-Zar`a Mukhtalifāan 'Ukuluhu Wa Az-Zaytūna Wa Ar-Rummāna Mutashābihāan Wa Ghayra Mutashābihin Kulū Min Thamarihi 'Idhā 'Athmara Wa 'Ātū Ĥaqqahu Yawma Ĥaşādihi Wa Lā Tusrifū 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna
And He is the One Who initiated gardens; both trellised and untrellised; and palm trees, and plants, all with different taste; and olives and pomegranates, similar and not similar. Eat from its fruit when it blossoms and give its due on the day of harvest; and do not waste. He does not like the wasteful.
7:31
يَابَنِي آدَمَ خُذُوا زِينَتَكُمْ عِنْدَ كُلِّ مَسْجِد ٍ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَلاَ تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Yā Banī 'Ādama Khudhū Zīnatakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Kulū Wa Ashrabū Wa Lā Tusrifū 'Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna
O Children of Adam, dress nicely at every temple, and eat and drink and do not indulge; He does not like the indulgers.
17:33
وَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُوما ً فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّه ِِ سُلْطَانا ً فَلاَ يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ مَنصُورا ً
Wa Lā Taqtulū An-Nafsa Allatī Ĥarrama Allāhu 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Man Qutila Mažlūmāan Faqad Ja`alnā Liwalīyihi Sulţānāan Falā Yusrif Fī Al-Qatli 'Innahu Kāna Manşūrāan
And do not take a life, for God has made this forbidden, except in the course of justice. And whoever is killed innocently, then We have given his heir authority, so let him not transgress in the taking of a life, for He will be given victory.
25:67
وَالَّذِينَ إِذَا أَنفَقُوا لَمْ يُسْرِفُوا وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا وَكَانَ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ قَوَاما ً
Wa Al-Ladhīna 'Idhā 'Anfaqū Lam Yusrifū Wa Lam Yaqturū Wa Kāna Bayna Dhālika Qawāmāan
And those who when they give they are not excessive nor stingy, but they are in a measure between that.

3:147
وَمَا كَانَ قَوْلَهُمْ إِلاَّ أَنْ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا فِي أَمْرِنَا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ
Wa Mā Kāna Qawlahum 'Illā 'An Qālū Rabbanā Aghfir Lanā Dhunūbanā Wa 'Isrāfanā Fī 'Amrinā Wa Thabbit 'Aqdāmanā Wa Anşurnā `Alá Al-Qawmi Al-Kāfirīna
And they did not say except: "Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our shortcomings in our responsibility, and make firm our foothold, and grant us victory over the rejecting people."
4:6
وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامَى حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَ فَإِنْ آنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْدا ً فَادْفَعُوا إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلاَ تَأْكُلُوهَا إِسْرَافا ً وَبِدَاراً أَنْ يَكْبَرُوا وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِيّا ً فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْ وَمَنْ كَانَ فَقِيرا ً فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ فَإِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فَأَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِمْ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبا ً
Wa Abtalū Al-Yatāmá Ĥattá 'Idhā Balaghū An-Nikāĥa Fa'in 'Ānastum Minhum Rushdāan Fādfa`ū 'Ilayhim 'Amwālahum Wa Lā Ta'kulūhā 'Isrāfāan Wa Bidārāan 'An Yakbarū Wa Man Kāna Ghanīyāan Falyasta`fif Wa Man Kāna Faqīrāan Falya'kul Bil-Ma`rūfi Fa'idhā Dafa`tum 'Ilayhim 'Amwālahum Fa'ash/hidū `Alayhim Wa Kafá Billāhi Ĥasībāan
And test the orphans when they reach puberty, then, if you have determined from them comprehension, then give them their money, and do not deliberately consume it wastefully or quickly before they grow up. And whoever is rich, then let him not claim anything, and if he is poor then let him consume in kindness. If you give to them their money, then make a witness for them, and God is enough for Reckoning.

مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّه ُُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسا ً بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَاد ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعا ً وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعا ً وَلَقَدْ جَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرا ً مِنْهُمْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي الأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ
Min 'Ajli Dhālika Katabnā `Alá Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Annahu Man Qatala Nafsāan Bighayri Nafsin 'Aw Fasādin Fī Al-'ArĐi Faka'annamā Qatala An-Nāsa Jamī`āan Wa Man 'Aĥyāhā Faka'annamā 'Aĥyā An-Nāsa Jamī`āan Wa Laqad Jā'at/hum Rusulunā Bil-Bayyināti Thumma 'Inna Kathīrāan Minhum Ba`da Dhālika Fī Al-'ArĐi Lamusrifūna
It is because of this that We have decreed for the Children of Israel: "Anyone who kills a person for other than murder, or corruption in the land; then it is as if he has killed all the people! And whoever spares a life, then it is as if he has given life to all the people." Our messengers had come to them with clarities, but many of them are, after this, still corrupting on the earth.
6:141
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ جَنَّات ٍ مَعْرُوشَات ٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَات ٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفاً أُكُلُه ُُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِها ً وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِه ٍ ٍ كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ~ِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُوا حَقَّه ُُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِه ِِ وَلاَ تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ

7:81
إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ شَهْوَة ً مِنْ دُونِ النِسَاء بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْم ٌ مُسْرِفُونَ
'Innakum Lata'tūna Ar-Rijāla Shahwatan Min Dūni An-Nisā' Bal 'Antum Qawmun Musrifūna
"You are approaching the men out of desire instead of the women! Indeed, you are a transgressing people."
10:12
وَإِذَا مَسَّ الإِنْسَانَ الضُّرُّ دَعَانَا لِجَنْبِهِ~ِ أَوْ قَاعِداً أَوْ قَائِما ً فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُ ضُرَّه ُُ مَرَّ كَأَنْ لَمْ يَدْعُنَا إِلَى ضُرّ ٍ مَسَّه ُُ كَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
Wa 'Idhā Massa Al-'Insāna AĐ-Đurru Da`ānā Lijanbihi 'Aw Qā`idāan 'Aw Qā'imāan Falammā Kashafnā `Anhu Đurrahu Marra Ka'an Lam Yad`unā 'Ilá Đurrin Massahu Kadhālika Zuyyina Lilmusrifīna Mā Kānū Ya`malūna
And when affliction touches man, he calls upon Us on his side or sitting or standing. But when We remove his affliction from him, he carries on as if he never called upon Us for an affliction which touched him! Thus it was made to appear good to the transgressors what they had done.
10:83
فَمَا آمَنَ لِمُوسَى إِلاَّ ذُرِّيَّة ٌ مِنْ قَوْمِه ِِ عَلَى خَوْف ٍ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَهُمْ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَال ٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِنَّه ُُ لَمِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Famā 'Āmana Limūsá 'Illā Dhurrīyatun Min Qawmihi `Alá Khawfin Min Fir`awna Wa Mala'ihim 'An Yaftinahum Wa 'Inna Fir`awna La`ālin Fī Al-'ArĐi Wa 'Innahu Lamina Al-Musrifīna
But none believed in Moses from his people except some from their descendants, because of their fear from Pharaoh and his commanders that he would persecute them. Pharaoh was high in the land, and he was of the tyrants.
21:9
ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَاهُمُ الْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَاهُمْ وَمَنْ نَشَاءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Thumma Şadaqnāhumu Al-Wa`da Fa'anjaynāhum Wa Man Nashā'u Wa 'Ahlaknā Al-Musrifīna
Then We fulfilled the promise to them, so We saved them and whom We pleased, and We destroyed those who transgressed.
26:151
وَلاَ تُطِيعُوا أَمْرَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Wa Lā Tuţī`ū 'Amra Al-Musrifīna
"And do not obey the command of the carefree."
36:19
قَالُوا طَائِرُكُمْ مَعَكُمْ أَئِنْ ذُكِّرْتُمْ بَلْ أَنْتُمْ قَوْم ٌ مُسْرِفُونَ
Qālū Ţā'irukum Ma`akum 'A'in Dhukkirtum Bal 'Antum Qawmun Musrifūna
They said: Keep your welcome with you, for you have been reminded. Indeed, you are transgressing people.
40:28
وَقَالَ رَجُل ٌ مُؤْمِن ٌ مِنْ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ يَكْتُمُ إِيمَانَهُ~ُ أَتَقْتُلُونَ رَجُلاً أَنْ يَقُولَ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ وَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَإِنْ يَكُ كَاذِبا ً فَعَلَيْهِ كَذِبُه ُُ وَإِنْ يَكُ صَادِقا ً يُصِبْكُمْ بَعْضُ الَّذِي يَعِدُكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِف ٌ كَذَّاب ٌ
Wa Qāla Rajulun Mu'uminun Min 'Āli Fir`awna Yaktumu 'Īmānahu 'Ataqtulūna Rajulāan 'An Yaqūla Rabbiya Allāhu Wa Qad Jā'akum Bil-Bayyināti Min Rabbikum Wa 'In Yaku Kādhibāan Fa`alayhi Kadhibuhu Wa 'In Yaku Şādiqāan Yuşibkum Ba`Đu Al-Ladhī Ya`idukum 'Inna Allāha Lā Yahdī Man Huwa Musrifun Kadhdhābun
And a believing man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his belief, said: Will you kill a man simply for saying: My Lord is God, and he has come to you with proofs from your Lord? And if he is a liar, then his lie will be upon him, and if he is truthful, then some of what he is promising you will afflict you. For God does not guide any transgressor, liar.
40:34
وَلَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ يُوسُفُ مِنْ قَبْلُ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِي شَكّ ٍ مِمَّا جَاءَكُمْ بِه ِِ حَتَّى إِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَنْ يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ مِنْ بَعْدِه ِِ رَسُولا ً كَذَلِكَ يُضِلُّ اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِف ٌ مُرْتَاب ٌ
Wa Laqad Jā'akum Yūsufu Min Qablu Bil-Bayyināti Famā Ziltum Fī Shakkin Mimmā Jā'akum Bihi Ĥattá 'Idhā Halaka Qultum Lan Yab`atha Allāhu Min Ba`dihi Rasūlāan Kadhālika YuĐillu Allāhu Man Huwa Musrifun Murtābun
And Joseph had come to you before with proofs, but you remained in doubt regarding what he came to you with, until when he died, you said: God will not send any messenger after him. It is such that God sends astray he who is a transgressor, doubter.
40:43
لاَ جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَه ُُ دَعْوَة ٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلاَ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ
Lā Jarama 'Annamā Tad`ūnanī 'Ilayhi Laysa Lahu Da`watun Fī Ad-Dunyā Wa Lā Fī Al-'Ākhirati Wa 'Anna Maraddanā 'Ilá Allāhi Wa 'Anna Al-Musrifīna Hum 'Aşĥābu An-Nāri
There is no doubt that what you invite me to has no basis in this world, nor in the Hereafter. And our ultimate return will be to God, and that the transgressors will be the dwellers of the Fire.
43:5
أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحاً أَنْ كُنتُمْ قَوْما ً مُسْرِفِينَ
'AfanaĐribu `Ankumu Adh-Dhikra Şafĥāan 'An Kuntum Qawmāan Musrifīna
Shall We turn away the Reminder from you, because you are a transgressing people?
44:31
مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّه ُُ كَانَ عَالِيا ً مِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Min Fir`awna 'Innahu Kāna `Ālīāan Mina Al-Musrifīna
From Pharaoh; he was a transgressing tyrant.
51:34
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ
Musawwamatan `Inda Rabbika Lilmusrifīna
Prepared by your Lord for the transgressors.
