General Root Meaning
To turn, return, repentance and grief, turn a thing upside down, change, change direction, turn it about to it's face and back, turn inside out, change condition.
qalb = heart.
mutaqallabun - time or place where any one is busily employed.
munqalabin - place or time of turmoil, reverse, turn, the end.
munqalibun - one who returns.

So because (of) Mercy from Allah you dealt gently with them. And if you had been rude (and) harsh (at) [the] heart, surely they (would have) dispe from around you. Then pardon [from] them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. Then when you have decided, then put trust on Allah. Indeed, Allah loves the ones who put trust (in Him

And not (is) Allah unaware of what you do.

Not will take you to task Allah for (what is) unintentional in your oaths, [and] but He takes you to task for what (have) earned your hearts. And Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.

3:126
And not made it Allah except (as) good news for you and to reassure your hearts with it. And (there is) no [the] victory except from [near] Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

8:10
And not made it Allah but good tidings and so that might be at rest with it your hearts. And (there is) no [the] victory except from (of) Allah. Indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

Call them by their fathers; it (is) more just near Allah. But if not you know their fathers - then (they are) your brothers in [the] religion and your friends. But not is upon you any blame in what you made a mistake in it, but what intended your hearts. And that is Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

And you were on (the) brink (of) pit of the Fire then He saved you from it. Thus makes clear Allah for you His Verses so that you may (be) guided.

3:154
Then He sent down upon you from after the distress security - slumber overcoming a group of you, while a group certainly worried [them] (about) themselves thinking about Allah other than the truth - (the) thought (of) [the] ignorance. saying, "Is (there) for us from the matter any thing?" Say, "Indeed the matter all (of) it (is) for Allah." They hide in themselves what not they reveal to you, They say, "If was for us from the matter anything not we would have been killed here." Say, "If you were in your houses, surely (would have) come out those who - was decreed upon them [the] death towards their places of death. And that might test Allah what (is) in your breasts and that He may purge what (is) in your hearts. And Allah (is) All-Aware of what (is in) the breasts.

6:46
Say, "Have you seen if took away Allah your hearing and your sight and sealed [on] your hearts, who (is the) god other than Allah to bring (back) to you with it? See how We explain the Signs; yet they turn away."

8:11
When He covered you with [the] slumber, a security from Him, and sent down upon you from the sky water, so that He may purify you with it, and take away from you evil (suggestions) (of) the Shaitaan. And to strengthen [on] your hearts and make firm with it your feet.

8:70
O Prophet! Say to whoever (is) in your hands of the captives, "If knows Allah in your hearts any good, He will give you better than what was taken from you, and He will forgive you. And Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

You may defer whom you will of them or you may take to yourself whom you will. And whoever you desire of those whom you (had) set aside - then (there is) no blame upon you. That (is) more suitable that may be cooled their eyes and not they grieve and they maybe pleased with what you have given them - all of them. And Allah knows what (is) in your hearts. And is Allah All-Knower, Most Forbearing.

48:12
Nay, you thought that (would) never return the Messenger and the believers to their families ever, was made fair-seeming (that) in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption evil, and you became a people ruined."

49:7
And know that among you (is the) Messenger (of) Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, surely you would be in difficu but Allah has endeared to you the Faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief and defiance and disobedience. Those (are) they - the guided ones.

49:14
Say the Bedouins, "We believe." Say, "Not you believe; but say, "We have submitted," and has not yet entered the faith in your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger, not He will deprive you of your deeds anything. Indeed, Allah (is) Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

O Messenger! Not let grieve you those who hasten in (to) [the] disbelief - of those who said, "We believe" with their mouths and not believe their hearts, and from those who (are) Jews. They (are) listeners to falsehood, (and) listeners for people other, (who have) not come to you. They distort the words from after their context, saying, "If you are given this [so] take it but if not you are given it then beware." And (for) whom intends Allah his trial, then never will you have power for him against Allah anything. Those (are) the ones never intends Allah that He purifies their hearts. For them in the world (is) disgrace and for them in the Hereafter (is) a punishment great.

9:127
And whenever what is revealed a Surah, look some of them to others, "Does see you any one?" Then they turn away. has turned away Allah their hearts because they (are) a people not they understand.

49:3
Indeed, those who lower their voices (in) presence (of the) Messenger (of) Allah - those, (are) the ones has tested Allah their hearts for righteousness. For them (is) forgiveness and a reward great.

61:5
And when said Musa to his people, "O my people! Why do you hurt me while certainly you know that I am (the) Messenger (of) Allah to you?" Then when they deviated, (was caused to) deviate Allah their hearts. And Allah (does) not guide the people, the defiantly disobedient.

Then why not when came to them Our punishment, they humbled themselves? But became hardened their hearts and made fair-seeming to them the Shaitaan what they used to do.

Only the believers (are) those who when is mentioned Allah feel fear their hearts, and when are recited to them His Verses, they increase them (in) faith, and upon their Lord they put their trust.

9:8
How while, if they gain dominance over you not they do regard (the ties) with you (of) kinship and not covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths but refuse, their hearts and most of them (are) defiantly disobedient.

Only ask your leave those who (do) not believe in Allah and the Day the Last, and (are in) doubts their hearts, so they in their doubts they waver.

Only the charities (are) for the poor, and the needy and those who collect them, and the ones inclined their hearts, and in the (freeing of) the necks, and for those in debt and in (the) way (of) Allah, and the wayfarer - an obligation from Allah. And Allah (is) All-Knowing, All-Wise.

Not (will) cease their building which they built a (cause of) doubt in their hearts except that (are) cut into pieces their hearts. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

And that may know those who have been given the knowledge that it (is) the truth from your Lord, and they believe in it, and may humbly submit to it their hearts. And indeed, Allah (is) surely (the) Guide (of) those who believe, to a Path Straight.

not You will find a people who believe in Allah and the Day the Last loving (those) who oppose Allah and His Messenger even if they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred. Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with a spirit from Him. And He will admit them (to) Gardens, flow from underneath it the rivers, will abide forever in it. is pleased Allah with them, and they are pleased with Him. Those (are the) party (of) Allah. No doubt! Indeed, (the) party (of) Allah, they (are) the successful ones.

59:2
He (is) the One Who expelled those who disbelieved from (the) People (of) the Scripture from their homes at (the) first gathering. Not you think that they would leave, and they thought that [they] would defend them their fortresses against Allah. But came to them Allah from where not they expected, and He cast into their hearts [the] terror, they destroyed their houses with their hands and the hands (of) the believers. So take a lesson, O those endowed (with) insight!

And remove (the) anger (of) their hearts. And accepts repentance Allah of whom He wills. And Allah (is) All-Knower, All-Wise.

Has set a seal Allah on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their vision (is) a veil. And for them (is) a punishment great.

In their hearts (is) a disease, so has increased them Allah (in) disease; and for them (is) a punishment painful because they used to [they] lie.

He (is) the One Who revealed to you the Book, of it (are) Verses absolutely clear - they (are) the foundation (of) the Book, and others (are) allegorical. Then as for those in their hearts (is) perversity - [so] they follow what (is) allegorical of it, seeking [the] discord and seeking its interpretation. And not knows its interpretation except Allah. And those firm in [the] knowledge, they say, "We believe in it. All (is) from our Lord." And not will take heed except men (of) understanding.

O you who believe[d]! (Do) not be like those who disbelieved and they said about their brothers when they traveled in the earth or they were fighting, "If they had been with us, not they (would have) died and not they would have been killed." So makes Allah that a regret in their hearts. And Allah gives life and causes death, and Allah of what you do (is) All-Seer.

3:167
And that He (might) make evide those who (are) hypocrites. And it was said to them, "Come, fight in (the) way (of) Allah or defend." They said, "If we knew fighting certainly we (would have) foll They - to disbelief that day (were) nearer than [them] to the faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts. And Allah (is) Most Knowing of what they conceal.

4:63
Those (are) the ones who - knows Allah what (is) in their hearts, so turn away from them and admonish them, and say to them concerning their souls a word penetrating.

5:52
And you see those - in their hearts (is) a disease they hasten to them saying, "We fear that (may) strike us a misfortune." But perhaps Allah [that] will bring the victory or a decision from Him. Then they will become for what they had concealed within themselves, regretful.

6:25
And among them (are those) who listen to you, but We have placed over their hearts coverings lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they see every sign not they will believe in it. Until, when they come to you and argue with you say those who disbelieved, "Not (is) this but (the) tales (of) the former (people)."

Would it not guide [for] those who inherit the land from after its people that if We willed, We (could) afflict them for their sins and We put a seal over their hearts so they (do) not hear?

8:49
When said the hypocrites and those who - in their hearts (was) a disease, "(Had) deluded these (people) their religion." But whoever puts (his) trust in Allah then indeed, Allah (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise."

And He (has) put affection between their hearts. If you (had) spent whatever (is) in the earth all not you could (have) put affection between their hearts, but Allah (has) put affection between them. Indeed, He (is) All-Mighty, All-Wise.

8:63

Fear the hypocrites lest be revealed about them a Surah, informing them of what (is) in their hearts. Say, "Mock, indeed, Allah (will) bring forth what you fear."

Certainly was pleased Allah with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree, and He knew what (was) in their hearts, so He sent down the tranquility upon them and rewarded them (with) a victory near,

And not We have made keepers (of) the Fire except Angels. But Allah not is shy of the truth. And when you ask them (for) anything then ask them from behind a screen. That (is) purer for your hearts and their hearts. And not is for you that you trouble (the) Messenger (of) Allah and not that you should marry his wives from after him, ever. Indeed, that is near Allah an enormity.

And We will turn their hearts and their sights (just) as not they believe in it (the) first time. And We will leave them in their transgression wandering blindly.

And indeed, it was certainly a great (test) except for those whom guided (by) Allah. And not will Allah let go waste your faith. Indeed, Allah (is) to [the] mankind Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.

And not (is) Muhammad - except a Messenger, certainly passed away from before him [the] (other) Messengers. So if he died or is slain will you turn back on your heels? And whoever turns back on his heels then never will he harm Allah (in) anything. And will reward Allah the grateful ones.

67:4
Then return the vision twice (again). Will return to you the vision humbled while it (is) fatigued.
