General Root Meaning
to construct/build, make trellis (for grape-wine), make a vine-stalk, roof, raise (a house or structure), settle. 'arshun - throne, arbour, pavillion, roof, power, dominion, sovereignty.
m'aruushaat (sing. ma'ruushun): supported on trellis-work, sheltered by an arbour, upheld by a trellis, trellised.
ya'rishuuna (imp. 3rd. m. pl.): they have erected, raised.
m'ruushaatun (pct. pic. f. pl.): trellised ones.
'uruush (n. pl.): roofs.

40:7
Those who bear the Throne and who (are) around it glorify (the) praises (of) their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who believe, "Our Lord! You encompass all things (by Your) Mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way and save them (the) punishment (of) the Hellfire.

But if they turn away, then say, "Sufficient for me (is) Allah. (There is) no god except Him. On Him I put my trust. And He (is the) Lord (of) the Throne, the Great."

Say, "If (there) were with Him gods as they say, then surely they (would) have sough to (the) Owner (of) the Throne a way."

If (there) were in both of them gods besides Allah, surely they (would) have been So glorified (is) Allah, Lord (of) the Throne (above) what they attribute.

He covers the night (with) the day seeking it rapidly and the sun and the moon and the stars - subjected by His command. Unquestionably for Him (is) the creation and the command, blessed (is) Allah, Lord (of) the worlds.

10:3
Indeed, your Lord (is) Allah the One Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then He established on the Throne, disposing the affairs. Not (is) any intercessor except from after His permission. That (is) Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will not you remember?

12:100
And he raised his parents upon the throne and they fell down to him prostrate. And he said, "O my father! This (is the) interpretation (of) my dream, from before. Verily, has made it my Lord true. And indeed, He was good to me when He took me out of the prison, and brought you from the bedouin life from after [that] had caused discord the Shaitaan between me and between my brothers. Indeed, my Lord (is) Most Subtle to what He wills. Indeed, He, He (is) the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

13:2
Allah (is) the One Who raised the heavens without pillars that you see, then He established on the Throne and subjected the sun and the moon each running for a term appointed, He arranges the matter; He details the Signs so that you may in the meeting (with) your Lord believe with certainty.

The Most Gracious over the Throne is established.

25:59
The One Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them in six periods, then He established Himself over the Throne - the Most Gracious, so ask Him (as He is) All-Aware.

32:4
Allah (is) the One Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them in six periods. Then established Himself on the Throne. Not for you from besides Him any protector and not any intercessor. Then will not you take heed?

He said, "Disguise for her her throne; we will see whether she will be guided or will be of those who not are guided."

Or like the one who passed by a township, and it (had) overturned on its roofs. He said, "How (will) bring to life this (town) Allah after its death?" Then he was made to die (by) Allah (for) a hundred year(s), then He raised him. He said, "How long (have) you remained?" He said, "I remained (for) a day or a part (of) a day." He said, "Nay, you (have) remained one hundred year(s). Then look at your food and your drink, (they did) not change with time, and look at your donkey, and We will make you a sign for the people. And look at the bones how We raise them, then We cover them (with) flesh." Then when became clear to him, he said, "I know that Allah (is) on every thing All-Powerful."

And how many of a township We have destroyed it, while it was doing wrong, so it fell on its roofs, and well abandoned, and castle lofty.

And were surrounded his fruits, so he began twisting his hands over what he (had) spent on it, while it (had) collapsed on its trellises, and he said, "Oh! I wish not had I associated with my Lord anyone."

And He (is) the One Who produced gardens trellised and other than trellised and the date-palm and the crops, diverse (are) its taste, and the olives and the pomegranates similar and other than similar. Eat of its fruit when it bears fruit, and give its due (on the) day (of) its harvest. And (do) not (be) extravagant. Indeed, He (does) not love the ones who are extravagant.

And We made inheritors the people those who were considered weak - (the) eastern (parts) (of) the land and the western (parts) of it, which We blessed [in it]. And was fulfilled (the) word (of) your Lord - the best for (the) Children (of) Israel because they were patient. And We destroyed what used to make Firaun and his people, and what they used to erect.

16:68
And inspired your Lord to the bee, [that] "Take among the mountains, houses and among the trees, and in what they construct.
