98:1  Those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture and from the polytheists were not going to leave (from their disbelief) until clear evidence came to them,

98:2  a Messenger from Allah reciting from the purified pages,

98:3  containing correct and right laws (in Scriptures).

98:4  And those who were given the Scripture did not differ until after clear evidence (this Qur’an) came to them.

98:5  And they were commanded nothing but to worship Allah with their sincere devotion to Him, being upright (true in their faith); to establish prayer, to pay obligatory charity; and that is the right religion.

98:6  Surely, those who disbelieve from among the people of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of hell. They will abide in it forever. They are the worst of all creatures.

98:7  Surely, those who believe and do righteous deeds, they are the best of all creatures.

98:8  Their reward with their Lord shall be the gardens of Eden (eternity), beneath which rivers flow, they will abide in it forever. Allah will be pleased with them and they will be pleased with Him. That is for those who fear their Lord.
