She said to Naomi, ‘He also gave me all this barley. He said, “Do not return to Naomi with nothing to give to her.” ’
And she saith, `These six [measures] of barley he hath given to me, for he said, Thou dost not go in empty unto thy mother-in-law.'
She said, “He gave me these six jars full of grain. For he said, ‘Do not go to your mother-in-law with empty hands.’”
Ruth: He even gave me these six measures of barley grain saying to me, “You can’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.”
“Bring your shawl,” he told her. Then he tied up a bushel and a half of barley in it as a present for her mother-in-law and laid it on her back. Then she returned to the city. “Well, what happened, dear?” Naomi asked her when she arrived home. She told Naomi everything and gave her the barley from Boaz, and mentioned his remark that she mustn’t go home without a present. Then Naomi said to her, “Just be patient until we hear what happens, for Boaz won’t rest until he has followed through on this. He’ll settle it today.”
Then she said, “He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said to me, ‘Do not go to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’ ”
She said, “These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said, ‘Do not go to your mother-in-law empty.’”
And she said, He gave me these six measures of barley, saying, Do not go empty unto thy mother-in-law.
She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley, because he said, ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”
And she said, He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said to me, Do not go empty-handed to your mother-in-law.
She said, “Boaz gave me these six portions of barley, saying, ‘You must not go home without a gift for your mother-in-law.’”
When she came to her mother-in-law, Naomi asked, “And how did things go, my dear daughter?” Ruth told her everything that the man had done for her, adding, “And he gave me all this barley besides—six quarts! He told me, ‘You can’t go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law!’”
She said, “He gave me these six scoops of barley, and he said, ‘You must not return to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”
saying, “He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said, ‘Do not go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”
She added, “He told me I must not come back to you empty-handed, so he gave me all this barley.”
And Ruth said, Lo! he gave to me six measures of barley; and he said, I will not that thou turn again void to thy mother-in-law. (And Ruth added, Lo! he gave me six measures of barley; for he said, I will not have it that thou return empty-handed to thy mother-in-law.)
She also said, “Boaz gave me this grain, because he didn't want me to come back without something for you.”
saying, “These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said, ‘You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.’”

She said “He gave me six measures of barley, for he said, ‘You shouldn’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’”
saying, “These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said, ‘You must not go back empty-handed to your mother-in-law.’”
She said, “He gave me all this barley. He said, ‘Don’t go back to your mother-in-law with your hands empty.’ ”
And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
Then she added, “He gave me these six measures of barley; because he said to me, “You shouldn’t return to your mother-in-law with nothing.”
saying, ‘He gave me these six measures of barley, for he said, “Do not go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.”’
And she said, These six measures of seorim gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty-handed unto thy chamot (mother-in-law).
She said, “He gave me these six measures of barley and told me not to come back to you empty-handed.”
She said, “He gave me these six ephahs of barley, for he said to me, ‘Do not return to your mother-in-law empty-handed.’ ”
She said, “Boaz gave me this barley as a gift for you. He said that I must not go home without bringing a gift for you.”
She said, “Boaz gave me these six portions of barley. He said, ‘You must not go home without a gift for your mother-in-law.’”
And she said, “These six measures of barley he gave to me, for he said, ‘You shall not go empty-handed to your mother-in-law.’”
and added, ‘He gave me these six measures of barley, saying, “Don’t go back to your mother-in-law empty-handed.”’
