But you have cast off and abhorred, you have been wroth with your anointed.
But you have cast off and abhorred, you have been angry with your anointed.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
But You have cast off and abhorred, You have been furious with Your anointed.
But Thou hast cast off and abhorred; Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
But thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
And you have forgotten me and despised me and you have turned away the face of your anointed!
But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:
But thou hast rejected and despised: thou hast been angry with thy anointed.
But thou hast cast off and rejected, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
But now you have cast off and rejected; you are full of wrath against your anointed.
But you have despised, rejected, and become angry with your anointed one.
But You have spurned and rejected him; You have become enraged with Your anointed.
But you have spurned, rejected, and became angry with your anointed one.
But you have spurned and rejected him; you are angry with your chosen king.
But You have cast off and rejected, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
But you have rejected, you have spurned, you have been very angry with your anointed one.
But now you have rejected him and cast him off. You are angry with your anointed king.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thy anointed.
But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.
But now you have turned against your king. You have become angry with the king that you have chosen.
And Thou, Thou hast cast off, and dost reject, Thou hast shown Thyself wroth With Thine anointed,
But You have thrown off and turned away from Your chosen one. You have been full of anger against him.
But what now? You have turned Your back and walked away! Your full fury burns against Your anointed king.
Then why cast me off, rejected? Why be so angry with the one you chose as king?
It will endure forever like the moon, a faithful witness in the sky.” Selah
But You have cast off and rejected, You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
But thou hast cast off and abhorred thine anointed; thou hast been wroth with him.
But you have spurned and rejected him; you have become enraged with your anointed.
But [in apparent contradiction to all this] You [even You the faithful Lord] have cast off and rejected; You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
But now you have refused and rejected your appointed king. You have been angry with him.
But God, you did walk off and leave us, you lost your temper with the one you anointed. You tore up the promise you made to your servant, you stomped his crown in the mud. You blasted his home to kingdom come, reduced his city to a pile of rubble Picked clean by wayfaring strangers, a joke to all the neighbors. You declared a holiday for all his enemies, and they’re celebrating for all they’re worth. Angry, you opposed him in battle, refused to fight on his side; You robbed him of his splendor, humiliated this warrior, ground his kingly honor in the dirt. You took the best years of his life and left him an impotent, ruined husk. How long do we put up with this, God? Are you gone for good? Will you hold this grudge forever? Remember my sorrow and how short life is. Did you create men and women for nothing but this? We’ll see death soon enough. Everyone does. And there’s no back door out of hell. So where is the love you’re so famous for, Lord? What happened to your promise to David? Take a good look at your servant, dear Lord; I’m the butt of the jokes of all nations, The taunting jokes of your enemies, God, as they dog the steps of your dear anointed. Blessed be God forever and always! Yes. Oh, yes.
But you have rejected, you have cast off, you have been very angry with your anointed one,
But now you have spurned and rejected him; you are full of wrath against your anointed.
But you are angry with your chosen king; you have deserted and rejected him.
But thou hast put away, and despised; and hast delayed thy christ. (But thou hast rejected, and despised, and hast raged against thy anointed king.)
You are now angry, Lord, and you have turned your back on your chosen king.
But now thou hast cast off and rejected, thou art full of wrath against thy anointed.
But now you have spurned and rejected him; you are full of wrath against your anointed.
But now you have spurned and rejected him; you are full of wrath against your anointed.
But you, God, have rejected and despised him. You’ve become infuriated with your anointed one.
But [in apparent contradiction of all this] You [the faithful Lord] have cast off and rejected; You have been full of wrath against Your anointed.
But now you have cast off and rejected; you are full of wrath against your anointed.
Like the moon it will stand eternal, forever firm like the sky!” Selah
