et dedit in ore meo canticum novum laudem Deo nostro videbunt multi et timebunt et sperabunt in Domino
LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.
LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
“Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.
“Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is, that I may know how frail I am.
Jehovah, make me to know mine end, And the measure of my days, what it is; Let me know how frail I am.
Show me, Lord Jehovah, my end, and the measure of my days, what it is, that I may know why I remain.
Make me to know, Jehovah, mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: I shall know how frail I am.
I spoke with my tongue : O Lord, make me know my end. And what is the number of my days : that I may know what is wanting to me.
LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; let me know how frail I am.
“O LORD, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!
"Teach me, O LORD, about the end of my life. Teach me about the number of days I have left so that I may know how temporary my life is.
LORD, reveal to me the end of my life and the number of my days. Let me know how short-lived I am.
"LORD, let me know how my life ends, and the standard by which you will measure my days, whatever it is! Then I will know how transient my life is.
"O LORD, help me understand my mortality and the brevity of life! Let me realize how quickly my life will pass!
"LORD, make me to know my end And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am.
"Show me, LORD, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
"LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered--how fleeting my life is.
LORD, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
"Yahweh, show me my end, what is the measure of my days. Let me know how frail I am.
‘Lord, tell me about my life. Tell me how long it will be, and when it will finish. I need to remember that life is only short.
`Cause me to know, O Jehovah, mine end, And the measure of my days -- what it [is],' I know how frail I [am].
“O Lord, let me know my end and how many days I have to live. Let me know that I do not have long to stay here.
“Eternal One, let me understand my end and how brief my earthly existence is; help me realize my life is fleeting.
Lord, help me to realize how brief my time on earth will be. Help me to know that I am here for but a moment more.
My heart smoldered within me, and, as I pondered, my mind was inflamed, and my tongue began to speak:
“Yahweh, cause me to know my end And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am.
LORD, make me to know my end and the measure of my days, what it is that I may know how long I am to be of this world.
“Lord, make me aware of my end and the number of my days so that I will know how short-lived I am.
Lord, make me to know my end and [to appreciate] the measure of my days—what it is; let me know and realize how frail I am [how transient is my stay here].
“Lord, tell me when the end will come and how long I will live. Let me know how long I have.
“Tell me, what’s going on, God? How long do I have to live? Give me the bad news! You’ve kept me on pretty short rations; my life is a string too short to be saved. Oh! we’re all puffs of air. Oh! we’re all shadows in a campfire. Oh! we’re just spit in the wind. We make our pile, and then we leave it.
Lord, help me understand my end. What is the limit of my days? Let me know how fleeting I am.
“Lord, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
“Lord, how long will I live? When will I die? Tell me how soon my life will end.”
Lord, make thou mine end known to me. And the number of my days, what it is; that I know, what faileth to me (so that I know what falleth to me/so that I know when I shall fail, or die).
“Please, Lord, show me my future. Will I soon be gone?
“Lord, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is!
“Lord, let me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
‘Lord, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
“Let me know my end, Lord. How many days do I have left? I want to know how brief my time is.”
“Lord, let me know my [life’s] end And [to appreciate] the extent of my days; Let me know how frail I am [how transient is my stay here].
“O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!
my heart smolders within me. In my sighing a fire blazes up, and I break into speech:
“Lord, let me know my end, And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am.
“Lord, ·tell [inform; reveal to] me when ·the end [or my end] will come and how long ·I will live [L will be my days]. Let me know how ·long I have [L fleeting I am; 90:1–12].
My heart was hot within me, while I was musing, the fire burned. Then I spoke with my tongue:
“Lord, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is!
I said, “Lord, show me when my life will end. Show me how many days I have left. Tell me how short my life will be.
Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am.
My heart grew hot within me; whenever I thought of it, the fire burned. Then, [at last,] I let my tongue speak:
‘Lord, let me know my end, and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
Hashem, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my yamim, what it is; that I may have da’as of how chadel (fleeting, frail) I am.
“Teach me, O Yahweh, about the end of my life. Teach me about the number of days I have left so that I may know how temporary my life is.
“Lord, make me to know my end, and what is the measure of my days, that I may know how transient I am.
Lord, tell me, what will happen to me now? Tell me, how long will I live? Let me know how short my life really is.
“Lord, tell me when the end will come. How long will I live? Let me know how long I have.
“Let me know, O Yahweh, my end, and what is the measure of my days. Let me know how transient I am.”
‘Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
