With which the mower fills not his hand; nor he that binds sheaves his bosom.

and can't even fill the hands of the reaper or the arms of the one who binds sheaves.

not enough to fill one's hand or to bundle in one's arms.

which cannot fill the reaper's hand, or the lap of the one who gathers the grain!

With which the reaper does not fill his hand, Or the binder of sheaves his bosom;

a reaper cannot fill his hands with it, nor one who gathers fill his arms.

ignored by the harvester, despised by the binder.

With which the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves, his bosom.

A gardener cannot use it. A farmer will not keep it.

That hath not filled the hand of a reaper, And the bosom of a binder of sheaves.

No one can pick it and fill his hand. No one can gather it and fill his arms.

Unfit to be harvested by the worker, not worthy of the effort to carry off to the binder.

May they be as grass in shallow soil, turning sere and yellow when half grown, ignored by the reaper, despised by the binder.

so that it can never fill the hands of the reapers or the arms of the binders of sheaves.

With which the reaper does not fill his hand, Nor the binder of sheaves the fold of his garment;

with which the reaper does not fill his hand nor he that binds sheaves his bosom.

and can’t even fill the hands of the reaper or the arms of the one who binds sheaves.

There is not enough of it to fill a hand or to make into a bundle to fill one’s arms.

Oh, let all those who hate Zion grovel in humiliation; Let them be like grass in shallow ground that withers before the harvest, Before the farmhands can gather it in, the harvesters get in the crop, Before the neighbors have a chance to call out, “Congratulations on your wonderful crop! We bless you in God’s name!”

The reaper cannot fill his hand with it. The one who binds sheaves cannot fill his arms.

no one gathers it up or carries it away in bundles.

There isn’t enough of it to fill a person’s hand. There isn’t enough to tie up and carry away.

With it the kotzer (reaper) filleth not his yad; nor he that gathereth sheaves, his bosom.

It will never fill the barns of those who harvest or the arms of those who gather bundles.

The one who goes to harvest it will not find enough to cut and stack.
