This is what happens to everyone who is greedy for unjust gain. Greed takes away his life.
Such are the paths of all who make profit dishonestly; it takes the lives of those who receive it.
Such is the way of all those who seek illicit gain— it takes away the lives of those who possess it.
Such are the ways of all who gain profit unjustly; it takes away the life of those who obtain it!
So are the ways of everyone who gains by violence; It takes away the life of its possessors.
Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.
Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; who taketh away the life of its owners.
So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain. It takes away the life of its owners.
That is what happens to those who cheat other people to become rich themselves. The riches that they have taken from others will destroy their own lives.
So [are] the paths of every gainer of dishonest gain, The life of its owners it taketh.
Such are the ways of all who get things by hurting others. Their desire for stolen riches takes away their own lives.
This is what happens to everyone who tries to profit by violence; violence will eventually rob them of their very lives.
Such is the fate of all who live by violence and murder. They will die a violent death.
Such is the fate of all who seek ill-gotten gain; such greed takes away the life of those who acquire it.
So are the paths of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its possessors.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain which takes away the life of those who possess it.
Such are the paths of all who make profit dishonestly; it takes the lives of those who receive it.
So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; such [greed for plunder] takes away the lives of its possessors.
All greedy people end up this way; greed kills selfish people.
Pay close attention, friend, to what your father tells you; never forget what you learned at your mother’s knee. Wear their counsel like a winning crown, like rings on your fingers. Dear friend, if bad companions tempt you, don’t go along with them. If they say—“Let’s go out and raise some hell. Let’s beat up some old man, mug some old woman. Let’s pick them clean and get them ready for their funerals. We’ll load up on top-quality loot. We’ll haul it home by the truckload. Join us for the time of your life! With us, it’s share and share alike!”— Oh, friend, don’t give them a second look; don’t listen to them for a minute. They’re racing to a very bad end, hurrying to ruin everything they lay hands on. Nobody robs a bank with everyone watching, Yet that’s what these people are doing— they’re doing themselves in. When you grab all you can get, that’s what happens: the more you get, the less you are.
This is where the path leads for everyone who is greedy for stolen property: It takes away the life of those who possess it.
Such is the end of all who are greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
Robbery always claims the life of the robber—this is what happens to anyone who lives by violence.
So the paths of each avaricious man ravish, or take away, the souls of them that wield (them).
The wealth you get from crime robs you of your life.
Such are the ways of all who get gain by violence; it takes away the life of its possessors.
Such is the end of all who are greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
Such is the end of all who are greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
These are the ways of all who seek unjust gain; it costs them their lives.
So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; Greed takes away the lives of its possessors.
Such are the ways of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
This is the way of everyone greedy for loot: it takes away their lives.
Such are the ways of everyone who makes unjust gain; It takes away the life of its possessors.
All greedy people end up this way; ·greed kills selfish people [L they take their own lives].
Such is the fate of all gaining by violence. It takes the life of its possessor.
Such are the ways of all who get gain by violence; it takes away the life of its possessors.
That’s what happens to everyone who goes after money in the wrong way. That kind of money takes away the life of those who get it.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
So are the ways of all greedy for gain — it takes the lives of those who get it.
Such is the end of all who are greedy for gain; it takes away the life of its possessors.
So are the ways of every one that is greedy for betza (ill-gotten gain); which taketh away the nefesh of the be’alim (owners) thereof.
This is what happens to everyone who is greedy for unjust gain. Greed takes away his life.
So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain, which takes away the life of its owners.
This is what happens to those who are greedy. Whatever they get destroys them.
All greedy people end up this way. Greed takes away the life of the greedy person.
Thus are the ways of all who are greedy for gain— it will take the life of its possessors.
Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.
