Then Balaam uttered this prophetic statement: "The declaration by Beor's son Balaam, a declaration by the strong, blind man.
Then he uttered this oracle: "The oracle of Balaam son of Beor; the oracle of the man whose eyes are open;
He took up his discourse and said, "The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, And the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
Then he spoke his message: "The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
This is the message Balaam delivered: "This is the message of Balaam son of Beor, the message of the man whose eyes see clearly,
And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
He took up his parable, and said, "Balaam the son of Beor says, the man whose eye was closed says;
Then Balaam spoke this message from God. He said, ‘This is the message of Balaam, the son of Beor. It is the message of a man who sees clearly.
And he taketh up his simile, and saith: `An affirmation of Balaam son of Beor -- And an affirmation of the man whose eyes [are] shut --
Then he began speaking and said, “Balaam the son of Beor is the man whose eye is opened.
He recited God’s words. Balaam: This is an oracle of Balaam (Beor’s son), a man whose eye has been opened,
So he spoke this prophecy to him: “Balaam the son of Beor is the man Whose eyes are open! He hears the words of God And has knowledge from the Most High; He sees what Almighty God has shown him; He fell, and his eyes were opened: I see in the future of Israel, Far down the distant trail, That there shall come a star from Jacob! This ruler of Israel Shall smite the people of Moab, And destroy the sons of Sheth. Israel shall possess all Edom and Seir. They shall overcome their enemies. Jacob shall arise in power And shall destroy many cities.”
So he took up the oracle and said, “Balaam, the son of Beor, the man whose eyes are open says,
Then he took up his discourse and said, “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, And the oracle of the man whose eye is uncovered,
And he took up his parable and said, Balaam, the son of Beor, has said, the man whose eyes are open has said,
Then he proclaimed his poem: The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eyes are opened;
And he took up his [figurative] discourse, and said: Balaam son of Beor speaks, the man whose eye is opened speaks,
Then Balaam gave this message: “This is the message of Balaam son of Beor, the message of a man who sees clearly;
Balaam said to Balak, “Didn’t I tell you up front when you sent your emissaries, ‘Even if Balak gave me his palace stuffed with silver and gold, I couldn’t do anything on my own, whether good or bad, that went against God’s command’? I’m leaving for home and my people, but I warn you of what this people will do to your people in the days to come.” Then he spoke his oracle-message: Decree of Balaam son of Beor, decree of the man with 20/20 vision, Decree of the man who hears godly speech, who knows what’s going on with the High God, Who sees what The Strong God reveals, who bows in worship and sees what’s real. I see him, but not right now, I perceive him, but not right here; A star rises from Jacob a scepter from Israel, Crushing the heads of Moab, the skulls of all the noisy windbags; I see Edom sold off at auction, enemy Seir marked down at the flea market, while Israel walks off with the trophies. A ruler is coming from Jacob who’ll destroy what’s left in the city. * * *
Balaam took up his oracle and said: The declaration of Balaam son of Beor, the declaration of the man whose eye is open,
So he uttered his oracle, saying: “The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is clear,
Then he uttered this prophecy: “The message of Balaam son of Beor, The words of the man who can see clearly,
Therefore when a parable was taken (And so when he had received his prophecy), he said again, Balaam, the son of Beor, said, (yea,) a man, whose eye is stopped, said,
Balaam said: “I am the son of Beor, and my words are true, so listen to my message!
And he took up his discourse, and said, “The oracle of Balaam the son of Be′or, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
So he uttered his oracle, saying, “The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is clear,
So he uttered his oracle, saying: ‘The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is clear,
He raised his voice and made his address: “The oracle of Balaam, Beor’s son, the oracle of a man whose eye is open.
He took up his [fourth] discourse (oracle) and said: “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, The oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
And he took up his discourse and said, “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
Then he recited his poem: The oracle of Balaam, son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is true,
Then he took up his discourse and said, “The declaration of Balaam the son of Beor, And the declaration of the man whose eye is opened,
Then Balaam gave this ·message [or oracle; or poem]: “This is the ·message [utterance] of Balaam son of Beor, the ·message [utterance] of a man ·who sees clearly [L whose eye is open];
Then he uttered his oracle: The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the strong man whose eye is opened,
And he took up his discourse, and said, “The oracle of Balaam the son of Be′or, the oracle of the man whose eye is opened,
Then Balaam spoke the message he had received from God. He said, “Here is the message God gave Balaam, the son of Beor. It’s the message God gave to the one who sees clearly.
And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
So he made his pronouncement: “This is the speech of Bil‘am, son of B‘or; the speech of the man whose eyes have been opened;
So he uttered his oracle, saying: ‘The oracle of Balaam son of Beor, the oracle of the man whose eye is clear,
And he took up his mashal, and said, Balaam ben Beor hath said, the man whose eyes are open hath said,
Then Balaam delivered this message: “This is the message of Balaam, son of Beor. This is the message of the man whose eyesight is clear.
He took up his parable and said: “The oracle of Balaam the son of Beor, and the oracle of the man whose eyes are open;
Then Balaam gave this message: “This message is from Balaam son of Beor. I am speaking about things I see clearly.
Then Balaam gave this message: “This is the message of Balaam son of Beor. This is the message of a man who sees clearly.
And he uttered his oracle and said, “The declaration of Balaam son of Beor, and the declaration of the man whose eye is closed,
Then he spoke his message: ‘The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor, the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,
