ipsi vero et patres nostri superbe egerunt et induraverunt cervices suas et non audierunt mandata tua
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and listened not to your commandments,
But they and our fathers acted presumptuously, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to your commandments,
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
“But they and our fathers acted proudly, Hardened their necks, And did not heed Your commandments.
“But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks and hearkened not to Thy commandments.
But they and our fathers dealt proudly and hardened their neck, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
But they, our fathers, dealt proudly, and hardened their neck, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks and hearkened not to thy commandments.
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their neck, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
“But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey your commandments.
But they-our own ancestors-acted arrogantly. They became stubborn and wouldn't obey your commands.
But our ancestors acted arrogantly; they became stiff-necked and did not listen to Your commands.
"But they—our ancestors—became arrogant and stubborn, refusing to listen to your commands.
"But they--our ancestors--behaved presumptuously; they rebelled and did not obey your commandments.
"But they, our fathers, acted arrogantly; They became stubborn and would not listen to Your commandments.
"But they, our ancestors, became arrogant and stiff-necked, and they did not obey your commands.
"But our ancestors were proud and stubborn, and they paid no attention to your commands.
But they and our fathers dealt proudly, and hardened their necks, and hearkened not to thy commandments,
"But they and our fathers dealt proudly and hardened their neck, didn't listen to your commandments,
But our ancestors turned away from you. They would not agree to obey your commands.
`And they and our fathers have acted proudly, and harden their neck, and have not hearkened unto Thy commands,
“But they, our fathers, acted with pride. They became strong-willed and would not listen to Your Words.
But our ancestors resisted following You. They were arrogant. They were proud. They refused to obey Your commands, plugging their ears. Knowing what You had done for them in the past, They willfully forgot it in the present. Stubborn. Rebellious. Instead of following You, They appointed their own leader to take them back to the land of their oppression—to Egypt! But You are not like us, God. You are filled with love, compassion, and forgiveness. You endure much with your anger and display Your loyal love; You did not abandon them,
but our ancestors were a proud and stubborn lot, and they refused to listen to your commandments.
“However, they and our ancestors acted with arrogance; they stubbornly refused to obey your commandments.
“But they, our fathers, acted presumptuously; They became stiff-necked and would not listen to Your commandments.
But they and our fathers dealt proudly and hardened their necks and did not hearken unto thy commandments

“But our ancestors were proud and stubborn and did not obey your commands.
But they, our ancestors, were arrogant; bullheaded, they wouldn’t obey your commands. They turned a deaf ear, they refused to remember the miracles you had done for them; They turned stubborn, got it into their heads to return to their Egyptian slavery. And you, a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, Incredibly patient, with tons of love— you didn’t dump them. Yes, even when they cast a sculpted calf and said, “This is your god Who brought you out of Egypt,” and continued from bad to worse, You in your amazing compassion didn’t walk off and leave them in the desert. The Pillar of Cloud didn’t leave them; daily it continued to show them their route; The Pillar of Fire did the same by night, showed them the right way to go.
But they and our ancestors acted arrogantly. They became stiff-necked and would not listen to your commands.
“But they and our ancestors acted presumptuously and stiffened their necks and did not obey your commandments;

Our stubborn ancestors refused to obey— they forgot about the miracles you had worked for them, and they were determined to return to Egypt and become slaves again.
“But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey thy commandments;
