But Judith said, “I cannot partake of these, in case doing so might cause me to break our law. What I have brought with me will be sufficient for my needs.”
But Judith said, “I cannot partake of them, or it will be an offense; but I will have enough with the things I brought with me.”
But Judith refused. I cannot eat your food, she said, for I would be breaking the laws of my God. I will eat only what I have brought with me.
To whom Judith answered, and said, Now I may not eat of these things, which thou commandedest to be given to me, lest offence come on me; but I shall eat of these things, which I have brought with me.
But Judith said, “I cannot eat it, lest it be an offense; but I will be provided from the things I have brought with me.”
But Judith said, “I cannot partake of them, or it will be an offense, but I will have enough with the things I brought with me.”
But Judith said, ‘I cannot partake of them, or it will be an offence; but I will have enough with the things I brought with me.’
But Judith said, “I won’t eat this, or it will be an offense. I’ll have enough to eat from what I brought with me.”
But Judith said, “I cannot eat any of them, because it would be a scandal. Besides, I will have enough with the things I brought with me.”
But Judith said, “I cannot eat it, lest it be an offense; but I will be provided from the things I have brought with me.”
But Judith said, ‘I cannot partake of them, or it will be an offence; but I will have enough with the things I brought with me.’
