The sword of him that lays at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
The sword of him that reaches him cannot avail: neither the spear, the dart, nor the javelin.
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
Though the sword reaches him, it cannot avail; Nor does spear, dart, or javelin.
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold the spear, the dart, nor the breastplate.
If one lay at him with the sword, it cannot avail; Nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
If any reach him with a sword, it cannot hold; neither spear, nor dart, nor harpoon.
When a sword shall lay at him, it shall not be able to hold, nor a spear, nor a breastplate.
If one lay at him with the sword, it cannot avail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail, nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
A sword may strike it but not pierce it. Neither will a spear, lance, or dart.
The sword that reaches him will have no effect, nor will a spear, dart, or arrow.
"Thrusting at him with a sword won't be effective, nor will spears, darts, or javelins.
Whoever strikes it with a sword will have no effect, nor with the spear, arrow, or dart.
"The sword that reaches him cannot avail, Nor the spear, the dart or the javelin.
The sword that reaches it has no effect, nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
No sword can stop it, no spear, dart, or javelin.
The sword of him that attacketh him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
If one attacks him with the sword, it can't prevail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
If you hit it with a sword, you will not hurt it. Spears, arrows and knives will be useless.
The sword of his overtaker standeth not, Spear -- dart -- and lance.
The sword that hits him cannot cut. And spears are of no use.
The sword that reaches it may strike but to no effect, so, too, the spear, the dart, and the lance.
No sword can stop him, nor spear nor dart nor pointed shaft.
It looks down upon all, even the highest; it is king over all wild beasts.”
The sword that reaches it cannot avail, Nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
When one catches up to him, no sword or spear or dart or coat of mail shall endure against him.
The sword that reaches him will have no effect, nor will a spear, dart, or arrow.
Even if one strikes at him with the sword, it cannot get any hold, nor does the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
The sword that hits it does not hurt it, nor the arrows, darts, and spears.
“He snorts and the world lights up with fire, he blinks and the dawn breaks. Comets pour out of his mouth, fireworks arc and branch. Smoke erupts from his nostrils like steam from a boiling pot. He blows and fires blaze; flames of fire stream from his mouth. All muscle he is—sheer and seamless muscle. To meet him is to dance with death. Sinewy and lithe, there’s not a soft spot in his entire body— As tough inside as out, rock-hard, invulnerable. Even angels run for cover when he surfaces, cowering before his tail-thrashing turbulence. Javelins bounce harmlessly off his hide, harpoons ricochet wildly. Iron bars are so much straw to him, bronze weapons beneath notice. Arrows don’t even make him blink; bullets make no more impression than raindrops. A battle ax is nothing but a splinter of kindling; he treats a brandished harpoon as a joke. His belly is armor-plated, inexorable— unstoppable as a barge. He roils deep ocean the way you’d boil water, he whips the sea like you’d whip an egg into batter. With a luminous trail stretching out behind him, you might think Ocean had grown a gray beard! There’s nothing on this earth quite like him, not an ounce of fear in that creature! He surveys all the high and mighty— king of the ocean, king of the deep!”
If someone strikes him with a sword, it has no effect. Neither do spears, arrows, or javelins.
Though the sword reaches it, it does not avail, nor does the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
There is no sword that can wound him; no spear or arrow or lance that can harm him.
When sword taketh him, it may not stand, neither spear, neither habergeon. (And when a sword trieth to take him, it shall not succeed, nor a spear, nor a dagger.)
No sword or spear can harm it,
Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail; nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
Though the sword reaches it, it does not avail, nor does the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
Though the sword reaches it, it does not avail, nor does the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
The sword that touches him won’t prevail; neither will the dart, spear, nor javelin.
“The sword that reaches him cannot avail, Nor [does] the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail, nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
He looks over all who are haughty, he is king over all proud beasts.
The sword that reaches him cannot prevail, Nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
The sword that ·hits [approaches] it does not hurt it, nor the arrows, darts, and spears.
He sees every haughty thing; he is king over all who are proud.”
Though the sword reaches him, it does not avail; nor the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
A sword that strikes it has no effect. Neither does a spear or dart or javelin.
The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.
He looks straight at all high things. He is king over all proud beasts.”
Though the sword reaches it, it does not avail, nor does the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
The cherev of him that reacheth at him cannot hold—the spear, the dart, nor the harpoon.
A sword may strike it but not pierce it. Neither will a spear, lance, or dart.
The sword that reaches him cannot avail, nor does the spear, the arrow, or the javelin.
Swords, spears, and darts only bounce off when they hit him. These weapons don’t hurt him at all!
The sword that hits him does not hurt him. The darts and spears, small and large, do not hurt him.
Reaching it with the sword does not avail, nor with the spear, the dart, or the javelin.
The sword that reaches it has no effect, nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.
