Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and pile up clothing as the clay;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heaps up silver like dust, And piles up clothing like clay—
Though he heap up silver as the dust and prepare raiment as the clay,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, And prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
If he shall heap together silver as earth, and prepare raiment as clay,
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay,
Though he collects silver like dust and piles up clothing like dirt,
Though he piles up silver like dust and heaps up a wardrobe like clay--
"Though he hoards silver like dust, and stores away garments like clay,
If he piles up silver like dust and stores up clothing like mounds of clay,
"Though he piles up silver like dust And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,
Though he heaps up silver like dust and clothes like piles of clay,
"Evil people may have piles of money and may store away mounds of clothing.
Though he should heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay?
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
Wicked people may have lots of money. They may have silver like heaps of sand. They may have more clothes than they could ever wear.
If he heap up as dust silver, And as clay prepare clothing,
He may gather up silver like dust, and gather so much clothing as if they were clay.
Though he pile up money as if it were common dirt and clothing in heaps like mounds of clay,
“The evil man may accumulate money like dust, with closets jammed full of clothing—
“Even though he amasses silver like dust and piles up clothes like clay,
Though he piles up silver like dust And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,
Though he heaps up silver as the dust and prepares raiment as the clay,
Though he piles up silver like dust and heaps up fine clothing like clay—
Though he heaps up silver like dust and piles up clothing like clay,
The wicked may heap up silver like piles of dirt and have so many clothes they are like piles of clay.
“I’ll quote your own words back to you: “‘This is how God treats the wicked, this is what evil people can expect from God Almighty: Their children—all of them—will die violent deaths; they’ll never have enough bread to put on the table. They’ll be wiped out by the plague, and none of the widows will shed a tear when they’re gone. Even if they make a lot of money and are resplendent in the latest fashions, It’s the good who will end up wearing the clothes and the decent who will divide up the money. They build elaborate houses that won’t survive a single winter. They go to bed wealthy and wake up poor. Terrors pour in on them like flash floods— a tornado snatches them away in the middle of the night, A cyclone sweeps them up—gone! Not a trace of them left, not even a footprint. Catastrophes relentlessly pursue them; they run this way and that, but there’s no place to hide— Pummeled by the weather, blown to smithereens by the storm.’”
Though the wicked man piles up silver like dust, and he accumulates clothing like mounds of clay,
Though they heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay—
The wicked may have too much silver to count and more clothes than anyone needs;
If he gathereth together silver as earth, and maketh ready clothes as (the) clay; (Yea, though he gathereth together silver like dust, and getteth himself heaps of clothes;)
The wicked may collect riches and clothes in abundance as easily as clay.
Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay;
Though they heap up silver like dust and pile up clothing like clay,
Though they heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay—
If they store up silver like dust, amass clothing like clay,
“Though he heaps up silver like dust And piles up clothing like clay,
Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay,
Though he heap up silver like dust and store away mounds of clothing,
Though he piles up silver like dust, And prepares garments as plentiful as the clay,
·The wicked [L They] may heap up silver like ·piles of dirt [dust] and ·have so many clothes they are like piles of clay [pile up clothes like mounds of earth/clay].
Though he piles up silver like dust, and clothing like heaps of mortar,
Though he heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay;
Sinners might store up silver like dust and clothes like piles of clay.
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Even if he piles up silver like dust and stores away clothing [in mounds] like clay —
Though they heap up silver like dust, and pile up clothing like clay—
Though he heap up kesef as the aphar, and pile up raiment as the clay,
Though he collects silver like dust and piles up clothing like dirt,
Though he heaps up silver like the dust and piles up clothing like the clay—
Evil people collect silver as easily as dirt. They may have so many clothes that they are piled up like clay.
The evil person may heap up silver like piles of dirt. He may have so many clothes they are like piles of clay.
If he heaps up silver like the dust and fashions clothing like the clay,
Though he heaps up silver like dust and clothes like piles of clay,
