at vos contra me erigimini et arguitis me obprobriis meis
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you exalt yourselves against me, And plead my disgrace against me,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, And plead against me my reproach;
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and prove against me my reproach,
But you have set yourselves up against me, and reprove me with my reproaches.
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me and make my disgrace an argument against me,
If you are trying to make yourselves look better than me by using my disgrace as an argument against me,
If you really want to appear superior to me and would use my disgrace as evidence against me,
If you really intend to vaunt yourselves over me, and make my problems the basis of your case against me,
If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and plead my disgrace against me,
"If indeed you vaunt yourselves against me And prove my disgrace to me,
If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my humiliation against me,
You think you're better than I am, using my humiliation as evidence of my sin.
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach;
You think that you are better people than I am. Because I have all these troubles, you say that I must be guilty.
If, truly, over me ye magnify yourselves, And decide against me my reproach;
You put yourselves up high against me, and try to prove my shame to me.
However, if you must exalt yourselves at my expense, if you must proffer my own disgrace as evidence against me,
You think yourselves so great? Then prove my guilt!
“If indeed you want to exalt yourselves above me and use my humiliation against me,
If truly you magnify yourselves against me And argue my disgrace to me,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me and reprove me of my reproach,
If you really want to appear superior to me and would use my disgrace as evidence against me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me and plead against me my reproach and humiliation,
If you want to make yourselves look better than I, you can blame me for my suffering.
Job answered: “How long are you going to keep battering away at me, pounding me with these harangues? Time after time after time you jump all over me. Do you have no conscience, abusing me like this? Even if I have, somehow or other, gotten off the track, what business is that of yours? Why do you insist on putting me down, using my troubles as a stick to beat me? Tell it to God—he’s the one behind all this, he’s the one who dragged me into this mess.
To be sure, when you lord it over me, and you hurl my disgrace against me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and make my humiliation an argument against me,
You think you are better than I am, and regard my troubles as proof of my guilt.
And ye be raised (up) against me, and reprove me with my shames (and rebuke me with my shame).
You boast of your goodness, claiming I am suffering because I am guilty.
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and make my humiliation an argument against me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me and make my humiliation an argument against me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and make my humiliation an argument against me,
If you look down on me and use my disgrace to criticize me,
“If indeed you [braggarts] vaunt and magnify yourselves over me And prove my disgrace (humiliation) to me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me and make my disgrace an argument against me,
If truly you exalt yourselves at my expense, and use my shame as an argument against me,
If indeed you exalt yourselves against me And prove my disgrace to me,
If you want to make yourselves ·look better than I [or powerful against me], you can ·blame me for my suffering [make my shame/disgrace an argument against me].
If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and prove my humiliation against me,
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and make my humiliation an argument against me,
Suppose you want to place yourselves above me. Suppose you want to use my shame to prove I’m wrong.
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
“You may take a superior attitude toward me and cite my disgrace as proof against me;
If indeed you magnify yourselves against me, and make my humiliation an argument against me,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves above me, and use against me my cherpah (reproach, humiliation),
If you are trying to make yourselves look better than me by using my disgrace as an argument against me,
If indeed you exalt yourselves against me and plead against me with my disgrace,
You want me to look bad to make yourselves look good. You say my troubles are proof that I did wrong.
Maybe you want to make yourselves look better than I do so you can blame me for my suffering.
If indeed you must magnify yourselves against me, and you must let my disgrace argue against me,
If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my humiliation against me,
