I observed that the Temple had a ten-and-a-half-foot-thick raised base around it, which provided a foundation for the side rooms. The outside walls of the side rooms were eight and three-quarters feet thick. The open area between the side rooms of the Temple and the priests’ rooms was a thirty-five-foot-wide strip all around the Temple. There were two entrances to the side rooms from the open area, one placed on the north side, the other on the south. There were eight and three-quarters feet of open space all around.
and the other rooms on the other side of the inner courtyard was twenty cubits wide all around the temple.
and the chambers of the court was a width of twenty cubits all around the temple on every side.
The outside wall of these rooms was 8 feet thick; there was one door into the rooms on the north side of the Temple, and one into those on the south side. I saw that there was a terrace 8 feet wide around the Temple; it was 10 feet above the ground and it was level with the foundation of the rooms by the Temple walls. Between the terrace and the buildings used by the priests there was an open space 34 feet across, along the sides of the Temple.
And betwixt (the) chambers I saw the breadth of twenty cubits in the compass of the house (of the Lord) on each side; (And there was an open space, the breadth of twenty cubits, all around the Temple on every side.)
