"But your people say, 'The Lord's way is unfair.' Yet, their ways are unfair.
But your people say, 'The Lord's way isn't fair,' even though it is their own way that isn't fair.
"Nevertheless, your people's children keep saying, 'Living life the Lord's way isn't right,' when all the while it is their way of living that isn't right.
"Yet your people say, 'The behavior of the Lord is not right,' when it is their behavior that is not right.
"Yet your fellow citizens say, 'The way of the Lord is not right,' when it is their own way that is not right.
"Yet your people say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' But it is their way that is not just.
"Your people are saying, 'The Lord isn't doing what's right,' but it is they who are not doing what's right.
Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
Yet the children of your people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
Your people, the Israelites, are saying: “The Lord is not fair in the things that he does!” But it is the people themselves who live in a way that is not fair.
And the sons of thy people have said: The way of the Lord is not pondered, As to them -- their way is not pondered.
“Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right.’ But it is their way that is not right.
Still your own people say, “The Lord’s way is not fair at all.” But they are the ones with perverted ways.
“And yet your people are saying the Lord isn’t fair. The trouble is they aren’t fair.
Yet your countrymen say, “The way of the Lord is not just,” when it is their own way that is not just.
“Yet the sons of your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their own way that is not right.
Then the sons of thy people shall say, The way of the Lord is not straight: but their way is the one that is not straight.
“‘But your people say, “The Lord’s way isn’t fair,” even though it is their own way that isn’t fair.
Yet your people say, The way of the Lord is not perfect or even just; but as for them, it is their own way that is not perfect or even just.
“Your people say: ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their own ways that are not fair.
“‘Your people say, “The Master’s way isn’t fair.” But it’s the way they’re living that isn’t fair. When good people turn back from living good lives and plunge into sin, they’ll die for it. And when a wicked person turns away from his wicked life and starts living a just and righteous life, he’ll come alive.
Yet, your countrymen are saying, “The Lord’s way is not fair,” although it is actually their way that is not fair.
Yet your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just,” when it is their own way that is not just.
“And your people say that what I do isn't right! No, it's their way that isn't right.
And the sons of thy people said, The way of the Lord is not of even weight, [or (of) even charge]; and the way of them is unjust. (And thy people said, The way of the Lord is not equal, or not fair; but it is their way that is unjust, or unfair.)
Ezekiel, your people accuse me of being unfair. But they are the ones who are unfair.
“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just’; when it is their own way that is not just.
Yet your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just,” when it is their own way that is not just.
Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just’, when it is their own way that is not just.
Yet your people say, “My Lord’s way doesn’t measure up.” Isn’t it their ways that don’t measure up?
“Yet your people [who are in exile in Babylon] say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right;’ but as for them, it is their own way that is not right.
“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just’, when it is their own way that is not just.
Your people say, “The way of the Lord is not fair!” But it is their way that is not fair.
“Yet your fellow citizens say, ‘The way of the Lord is not right,’ when it is their own way that is not right.
“Your people say: ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their own ways that are not ·fair [just].
“Yet the children of your people say, ‘The way of Adonai isn’t fair!’ but it is their way, theirs that is unfair.
“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just’; when it is their own way that is not just.
“In spite of that, your people say, ‘What the Lord does isn’t fair.’ But it is what you do that is not fair.
Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.
“Now your people say, ‘Adonai’s way isn’t fair!’ But it is their way, theirs, that isn’t fair!
Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just’, when it is their own way that is not just.
Yet the Bnei Amecha say, The Derech Adonoi is not proper; but as for them, their derech is not proper.
“But your people say, ‘Adonay’s way is unfair.’ Yet, their ways are unfair.
Yet the sons of your people say, “The way of the Lord is not right,” when their way is not right.
“But your people say, ‘That’s not fair! The Lord cannot be like that!’ “But they are the people who are not fair! They are the people who must change!
“But your people say: ‘The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their own way that is not fair.
“Yet your people say, ‘The way of the Lord is not fair!’ yet their way is not fair.
‘Yet your people say, “The way of the Lord is not just.” But it is their way that is not just.
