And if he is destitute, don’t use his cloak as a bedroll; return it to him at nightfall so that he can sleep in his cloak and bless you. In the sight of God, your God, that will be viewed as a righteous act.

Suppose someone is so poor that a coat is the only thing that can be offered as a guarantee on a loan. Don't keep the coat overnight.

If the person is poor, you shall not sleep in the garment given you as the pledge.
And if the ish be oni (poor), thou shalt not keep his pledge overnight;
If the person is poor, don’t keep the coat you took as a deposit overnight.
If the man is poor, you may not sleep with his pledge.
If he is a poor man, then he might give the clothes that keep him warm. You must not keep that security overnight.
A poor man might give you his coat to show he will pay the loan back. But don’t keep his coat overnight.
And if he is a needy man, you shall not sleep in his pledge.
If the neighbour is poor, do not go to sleep with their pledge in your possession.
