And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this;
And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this;
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
“But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, although you knew all this.
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart though thou knewest all this,
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thy heart, though thou knewest all this,
And thou, Belshazzar, his son, hast not humbled thy heart, although thou knewest all this;
Thou also his son, O Baltasar, hast not humbled thy heart, whereas thou knewest all these things:
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
And you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
"Belshazzar, you are one of Nebuchadnezzar's successors. You didn't remain humble, even though you knew all this.
But you his successor, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.
"But you, Belshazzar, his grandson, haven't humbled yourself, even though you knew all of this.
"But you, his son Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, although you knew all this.
"Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this,
"But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.
"You are his successor, O Belshazzar, and you knew all this, yet you have not humbled yourself.
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thy heart, though thou knewest all this;
You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
King Belshazzar, you are Nebuchadnezzar's son, and you knew all that. But you did not become humble.
`And thou, his son, Belshazzar, hast not humbled thy heart, though all this thou hast known;
Yet you, his son Belshazzar, have not put away the pride from your heart, even though you knew all this.
But even though you knew all this, you, Belshazzar, his descendant, have followed in his ways and not lived humbly.
“And you, his successor, O Belshazzar—you knew all this, yet you have not been humble.
“Even though you, Belshazzar, his son, were aware of all this, you did not humble your heart.
Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not made your heart lowly, even though you knew all this,
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
“But you his successor, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.
And you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart and mind, though you knew all this [knew it and were defiant].
“Belshazzar, you already knew these things, because you are a descendant of Nebuchadnezzar. Still you have not been sorry for what you have done.
“You are his son and have known all this, yet you’re as arrogant as he ever was. Look at you, setting yourself up in competition against the Master of heaven! You had the sacred chalices from his Temple brought into your drunken party so that you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines, could drink from them. You used the sacred chalices to toast your gods of silver and gold, bronze and iron, wood and stone—blind, deaf, and imbecile gods. But you treat with contempt the living God who holds your entire life from birth to death in his hand.
But you, his son, Belshazzar, did not humble your heart although you knew all this.
And you, Belshazzar his son, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this!
“But you, his son, have not humbled yourself, even though you knew all this.
And thou, Belshazzar, the son of him, meekedest not thine heart, when thou knewest all these things; (And thou, Belshazzar, his successor, hast not humbled, or made meek, thy heart, even though thou knewest all these things;)
King Belshazzar, you knew all of this, but you still refused to honor the Lord who rules from heaven.
And you his son, Belshaz′zar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
And you, Belshazzar his son, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this!
And you, Belshazzar his son, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this!
“But you who are his son, Belshazzar, you haven’t submitted, even though you’ve known all this.
And you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart (mind), even though you knew all this.
And you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this;
Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this,
“Belshazzar, you, his [C Nebuchadnezzar’s] ·son [descendant; or successor; C not his literal son; v. 1], already knew these things. Still you have not ·been sorry for what you have done [L humbled your heart].
“But you his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.
And you his son, Belshaz′zar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,
“But you knew all that, Belshazzar. After all, you are Nebuchadnezzar’s son. In spite of that, you are still proud.
And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;
But, Belshatzar, you, his son, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this.
And you, Belshazzar his son, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this!
And thou his son, O Belshatzar, hast not humbled thine lev, though thou had da’as of all this;
“Belshazzar, you are one of Nebuchadnezzar’s successors. You didn’t remain humble, even though you knew all this.
“Yet you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this;
“But Belshazzar, you already knew this. You are Nebuchadnezzar’s grandson, but still you have not made yourself humble.
“But, Belshazzar, you already knew these things. You are a descendant of Nebuchadnezzar. But still you have not been sorry for what you have done.
“But you his successor, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart even though you knew all this.
‘But you, Belshazzar, his son, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.
