We're eager to trade silver for the poor, a pair of sandals for the needy! We want to mix in some chaff with the grain!"
So as to buy the helpless for money And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?"
buying the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals, selling even the sweepings with the wheat.
And you mix the grain you sell with chaff swept from the floor. Then you enslave poor people for one piece of silver or a pair of sandals.
That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; and even sell the refuse of the wheat?
that we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes, and sell the sweepings with the wheat?'"
When poor people cannot pay their debts, you buy them as your slaves. You pay a silver coin to buy them, which would not even buy a pair of shoes. You also mix dust with the grain that you sell.
To purchase with money the poor, And the needy for a pair of sandals, Yea, the refuse of the pure corn we sell.
We will buy the poor for money, and those in need for shoes. And we will sell the part of the grain that is of no worth.”
We can buy the needy for silver and the poor and their property for the price of a pair of sandals. We can even sell the chaff we sweep up as grain.”
you who make slaves of the poor, buying them for their debt of a piece of silver or a pair of shoes, or selling them your moldy wheat:
We can buy the poor man for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals; we can even sell the refuse of the wheat.”
So as to buy the poor for money And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”

Listen to this, you who walk all over the weak, you who treat poor people as less than nothing, Who say, “When’s my next paycheck coming so I can go out and live it up? How long till the weekend when I can go out and have a good time?” Who give little and take much, and never do an honest day’s work. You exploit the poor, using them— and then, when they’re used up, you discard them.
We will buy the poor for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals. We will sell the chaff with the grain.”

We can sell worthless wheat at a high price. We'll find someone poor who can't pay his debts, not even the price of a pair of sandals, and we'll buy him as a slave.”
that we wield for silver needy men, and poor men for shoes, and we sell outcastings of wheat? (and we can buy the needy for some silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes, and we can sell the refuse of our wheat again?)
and mix dust in the grain. Those who are needy and poor don't have any money. We will make them our slaves for the price of a pair of sandals.”

So that we may buy the poor [as slaves] for silver [since they are unable to support themselves] And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the leftovers of the wheat [as if it were a good grade of grain]?”

We will buy the destitute for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals; even the worthless grain we will sell!”

You buy poor people to make slaves out of them. You buy those who are in need for a mere pair of sandals. You even sell the worthless parts of your wheat.

The poor cannot pay their loans, so we will buy them as slaves. We will buy those helpless people for the price of a pair of sandals. Oh, and we can sell the wheat that was spilled on the floor.”
We will buy poor people for silver. And we will buy needy people for the price of a pair of sandals. We will even sell the wheat that was swept up from the floor.”
That we can buy the powerless with silver and the poor for the sake of a pair of sandals, and we can sell the waste of the grain?”
