And haven't you read in the law of Moses that the priests on duty in the Temple may work on the Sabbath?
Or have ye not read in the law, that on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
And have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath without incurring guilt?
Or have you not read in the law, that on the Sabbath day, the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are guiltless?
Also, you certainly know what God's Law says about the priests. They work in the temple, even on the day of rest. They have not obeyed the Law about the day of rest. But God's Law tells us that they have not done anything that is wrong.
`Or did ye not read in the Law, that on the sabbaths the priests in the temple do profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
Have you not read in the Law how the religious leaders do that which is not right to do on the Day of Rest, and yet they are not guilty?
“Or have you not read in the Law how that, on the Sabbath days, the priests in the Temple break the Sabbath and are blameless?
Indeed, have you not read that on the Sabbath priests themselves do work in the temple, breaking the Sabbath law yet remaining blameless?
And haven’t you ever read in the law of Moses how the priests on duty in the Temple may work on the Sabbath?
Or have you not read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the Sabbath, but they are considered to be without guilt?
Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and are innocent?
Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath and are blameless?
Or haven’t you read in the law that on Sabbath days the priests in the temple violate the Sabbath and are innocent?
Or have you never read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the sanctity of the Sabbath [breaking it] and yet are guiltless?
And have you not read in the law of Moses that on every Sabbath day the priests in the Temple break this law about the Sabbath day? But the priests are not wrong for doing that.
Jesus said, “Really? Didn’t you ever read what David and his companions did when they were hungry, how they entered the sanctuary and ate fresh bread off the altar, bread that no one but priests were allowed to eat? And didn’t you ever read in God’s Law that priests carrying out their Temple duties break Sabbath rules all the time and it’s not held against them?
Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath days, the priests in the temple violate the Sabbath and yet are innocent?
Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?
Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath the priests in the temple break the sabbath and yet are guiltless?
Or have you not read in the law how the priests in the temple break the Sabbath day, and yet are blameless?
Or have you not read in the Law of Moses that every Sabbath the priests in the Temple actually break the Sabbath law, yet they are not guilty?
Or whether ye have not read in the law, that in the sabbaths priests in the temple defoul the sabbaths, and they be without blame?
Or didn’t you read in the law that the priests in the Temple do things on the sabbath which are against sabbath law—and they aren’t guilty?
Haven't you read in the Law of Moses that the priests are allowed to work in the temple on the Sabbath? But no one says they are guilty of breaking the law of the Sabbath.
Or have you not read in the law how on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless?
“Haven’t any of you read in the Law that every Sabbath day priests in the Temple can break the Sabbath and yet remain blameless? I tell you that there is something more important than the Temple here. If you had grasped the meaning of the scripture ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice’, you would not have been so quick to condemn the innocent! For the Son of Man is master even of the Sabbath.”

Or haven’t you read in the Torah that on Shabbat the kohanim in the Temple break Shabbat and yet are innocent?
Or have you not read in the law how on the sabbath the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless?
Haven’t you read the Law? It tells how every Sabbath day the priests in the temple have to do their work on that day. But they are not considered guilty.
Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
“Or haven’t you read in the Torah that on Shabbat the cohanim profane Shabbat and yet are blameless?
`Have you never read in the books of the law that the priests in the temple break the Sabbath law on the Sabbath day? They are not punished for it.
Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath the priests in the temple break the sabbath and yet are guiltless?
Or have you not read in the Torah that on Shabbos the kohanim in the Beis Hamikdash commit Chillul HaYom HaShabbos (desecration of the Sabbath Day) and yet are blameless? [BAMIDBAR 28:9-10]
Or haven’t you read in Moses’ Teachings that on the day of worship the priests in the temple do things they shouldn’t on the day of worship yet remain innocent?
Or have you not read in the law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, but are blameless?
And you have read in the Law of Moses that on every Sabbath day the priests at the Temple break the law about the Sabbath day. But they are not wrong for doing that.
And have you not read in the law of Moses that on every Sabbath day the priests in the Temple break this law about the Sabbath day? But the priests are not wrong for doing that.
Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the sanctity of the Sabbath and are guiltless?
