et sicut Moses exaltavit serpentem in deserto ita exaltari oportet Filium hominis
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, thus The Son of Man is going to be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, thus must the Son of man be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
"As Moses lifted up the snake [on a pole] in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
"As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
And just as Moses lifted high the serpent in the Desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Long ago Moses lifted up the metal snake in the wilderness to save his people. In the same way, people must lift up the Son of Man on a cross.
`And as Moses did lift up the serpent in the wilderness, so it behoveth the Son of Man to be lifted up,
As Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness. In the same way, the Son of Man must be lifted up;
And as Moses in the wilderness lifted up the bronze image of a serpent on a pole, even so I must be lifted up upon a pole,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up,
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, the Son of Man must also be lifted up.
“No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up—and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.
“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up,
As Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the desert, in the same way the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And as Moses areared a serpent in desert [And as Moses reared up a serpent in desert], so it behooveth man's Son to be raised [up],
“So, just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, in the same way the son of man must be lifted up,
And the Son of Man must be lifted up, just as the metal snake was lifted up by Moses in the desert.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up,
“So you are a teacher of Israel,” said Jesus, “and you do not recognise such things? I assure you that we are talking about something we really know and we are witnessing to something we have actually observed, yet men like you will not accept our evidence. Yet if I have spoken to you about things which happen on this earth and you will not believe me, what chance is there that you will believe me if I tell you about what happens in Heaven? No one has ever been up to Heaven except the Son of Man who came down from Heaven. The Son of Man must be lifted above the heads of men—as Moses lifted up that serpent in the desert—so that any man who believes in him may have eternal life. For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that every one who believes in him shall not be lost, but should have eternal life. You must understand that God has not sent his Son into the world to pass sentence upon it, but to save it—through him. Any man who believes in him is not judged at all. It is the one who will not believe who stands already condemned, because he will not believe in the character of God’s only Son. This is the judgment—that light has entered the world and men have preferred darkness to light because their deeds are evil. Anybody who does wrong hates the light and keeps away from it, for fear his deeds may be exposed. But anybody who is living by the truth will come to the light to make it plain that all he has done has been done through God.”
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so must the Human One be lifted up
Just as Moses lifted up the [bronze] serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
“Just as Moses lifted up the ·snake [T serpent] in the ·desert [wilderness; C Moses put a bronze snake statue on a pole, and those who looked at it were healed of snake bites; Num. 21:4–9], the Son of Man must also be lifted up [C an allusion to the cross and resurrection].
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up,
Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. In the same way, the Son of Man must also be lifted up.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
Just as Moshe lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
Moses lifted up a snake on a piece of wood in the desert. So the Son of Man must be lifted up.
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
And as Moshe lifted up the nachash in the wilderness [Num 21:8-9], so it is necessary for there to be a hagbah (lifting up) of the Ben HaAdam [Ps 22; Isa 53].
“As Moses lifted up the snake on a pole in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up.
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
“Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. It is the same with the Son of Man. He must be lifted up too.
“Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. It is the same with the Son of Man. The Son of Man must be lifted up too.
And just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, thus it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up,
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up,
And just as Moses lifted-up the serpent in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up
