quadraginta annos propter quod infensus fui generationi huic et dixi semper errant corde ipsi autem non cognoverunt vias meas
Why I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

for 40 years. Therefore I was provoked with that generation and said, "They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not known My ways."
for 40 years. That is why I was indignant with that generation and said, 'They are always going astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways.'
for 40 years. That is why I was indignant with that generation and said, 'They are always going astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways.'
"Therefore, I became provoked at that generation and said, 'Their hearts are always wandering and they have not known my ways.'
"Therefore, I became provoked at that generation and said, 'Their hearts are always wandering and they have not known my ways.'
"THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS';
"THEREFORE I WAS ANGRY WITH THIS GENERATION, AND SAID, 'THEY ALWAYS GO ASTRAY IN THEIR HEART, AND THEY DID NOT KNOW MY WAYS';
That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.'
That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, 'Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.'
So I was angry with them, and I said, 'Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.'
So I was angry with them, and I said, 'Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.'
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
Therefore I was greatly grieved with that generation, and I said, 'They are ever going astray in heart, and have not learnt to know My paths.'
Therefore I was greatly grieved with that generation, and I said, 'They are ever going astray in heart, and have not learnt to know My paths.'
Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, 'They always err in their heart, but they didn't know my ways;'
Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, 'They always err in their heart, but they didn't know my ways;'
That is why I became angry with them. I said, “They always want to do what is wrong. They refuse to understand my message.”
wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, Always do they go astray in heart, and these have not known My ways;
For this reason, I was angry with the people of this day. And I said to them, ‘They always think wrong thoughts. They have never understood what I have tried to do for them.’
“Therefore, I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, nor have they known My ways.’
For the 40 years they traveled on to the land that I had promised them, That generation broke My heart. Grieving and angry, I said, “Their hearts are unfaithful; they don’t know what I want from them.”
“But,” God says, “I was very angry with them, for their hearts were always looking somewhere else instead of up to me, and they never found the paths I wanted them to follow.”
for forty years. As a result I became angered with that generation, and I said, ‘Their hearts have always gone astray, and they do not know my ways.’
Therefore I was angry with this generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they did not know My ways’;
Therefore, I was indignant with that generation and said, They do always err from their heart, and they have not known my ways.
for forty years. Therefore I was provoked to anger with that generation and said, “They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways.”
And so I was provoked (displeased and sorely grieved) with that generation, and said, They always err and are led astray in their hearts, and they have not perceived or recognized My ways and become progressively better and more experimentally and intimately acquainted with them.
I was angry with them. I said, ‘They are not loyal to me and have not understood my ways.’
So, my dear Christian friends, companions in following this call to the heights, take a good hard look at Jesus. He’s the centerpiece of everything we believe, faithful in everything God gave him to do. Moses was also faithful, but Jesus gets far more honor. A builder is more valuable than a building any day. Every house has a builder, but the Builder behind them all is God. Moses did a good job in God’s house, but it was all servant work, getting things ready for what was to come. Christ as Son is in charge of the house. Now, if we can only keep a firm grip on this bold confidence, we’re the house! That’s why the Holy Spirit says, Today, please listen; don’t turn a deaf ear as in “the bitter uprising,” that time of wilderness testing! Even though they watched me at work for forty years, your ancestors refused to let me do it my way; over and over they tried my patience. And I was provoked, oh, so provoked! I said, “They’ll never keep their minds on God; they refuse to walk down my road.” Exasperated, I vowed, “They’ll never get where they’re going, never be able to sit down and rest.”
for forty years. That is why I was angry with that generation and said, “In their heart they are always going astray, and they did not learn my ways.”
for forty years. Therefore I was angry with this generation and said, ‘They are always going astray in their hearts, and they have not known · my ways.’
for forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and I said, ‘They always go astray in their hearts, and they have not known my ways.’
Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do ever err in their hearts; they have not acknowledged my ways.
And so I was angry with those people and said, ‘They are always disloyal and refuse to obey my commands.’
Wherefore I was wroth [Wherefore I was offended, or wroth,] to this generation, and I said, Evermore they err in heart, for they knew not my ways;
for forty years. And so I was angry with that generation, and said, “They are always straying in their hearts, they do not know my ways.”
“Then God got tired of them and said, ‘You people never show good sense, and you don't understand what I want you to do.’
Therefore I was provoked with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their hearts; they have not known my ways.’
We ought to take note of these words in which the Holy Spirit says: ‘Today, if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested me, proved me, and saw my works for forty years. Therefore I was angry with that generation, and said they always go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways. So I swore in my wrath, they shall not enter my rest’.
