and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.

Paul lived and worked with them, for they were tentmakers just as he was.

They knew how to make tents which they could sell to people. Paul also made tents, so he stayed with them and he worked with them.
and because of being of the same craft, he did remain with them, and was working, for they were tent-makers as to craft;
They made tents for a living. Paul did the same kind of work so he stayed with them and they worked together.
And because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked (for their trade was to make tents.)
and discovered they shared the same trade of tent making. He then became their long-term guest and joined them in their tentmaking business.
There he became acquainted with a Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently arrived from Italy with his wife, Priscilla. They had been expelled from Italy as a result of Claudius Caesar’s order to deport all Jews from Rome. Paul lived and worked with them, for they were tentmakers just as he was.
and because they were tentmakers just as he was, he stayed with them and they worked together.
and because he was of the same trade, he was staying with them and they were working, for by trade they were tent-makers.
And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them and worked, for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
and since they were of the same occupation, tentmakers by trade, he stayed with them and worked.
And because he was of the same occupation, he stayed with them; and they worked [together], for they were tentmakers by trade.
Because they were tentmakers, just as he was, he stayed with them and worked with them.
After Athens, Paul went to Corinth. That is where he discovered Aquila, a Jew born in Pontus, and his wife, Priscilla. They had just arrived from Italy, part of the general expulsion of Jews from Rome ordered by Claudius. Paul moved in with them, and they worked together at their common trade of tentmaking. But every Sabbath he was at the meeting place, doing his best to convince both Jews and Greeks about Jesus.
Because he had the same occupation, he stayed and worked with them, for they were tentmakers by trade.
and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.
and, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together—by trade they were tentmakers.
And because he was of the same craft, he stayed with them and worked; their craft was to make tents.
and stayed and worked with them, because he earned his living by making tents, just as they did.
And for that he was of the same craft, he dwelled with them, and wrought; and they were of ropemakers craft [soothly they were of tentmakers craft, that is, to make coverings to traveling men].
and, because they were in the same business, he stayed with them and worked. They were, by trade, tentmakers.
and found out they were tent makers. Paul was also a tent maker, so he stayed with them, and they worked together.
and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them, and they worked, for by trade they were tentmakers.
Before long Paul left Athens and went on to Corinth where he found a Jew called Aquila, a native of Pontus. This man had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla because Claudius had issued a decree that all Jews should leave Rome. He went to see them in their house and because they practised the same trade as himself he stayed with them. They all worked together, for their trade was tent-making. Every Sabbath Paul used to speak in the synagogue trying to persuade both Jews and Greeks. By the time Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia Paul was completely absorbed in preaching the message, showing the Jews as clearly as he could that Jesus is Christ. However, when they turned against him and abused him he shook his garments at them, and said, “Your blood be on your heads! From now on I go with a perfectly clear conscience to the Gentiles.”
and, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together—by trade they were tentmakers.

and, because he practiced the same trade, stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.

They were tentmakers, just as he was. So he stayed and worked with them.
And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.
and because he had the same trade as they, making tents, he stayed on with them; and they worked together.
Paul's work had been the making of tents, and that is what they did. So he stayed with them. They worked together.

and because they made tents for a living as he did, he stayed with them and they worked together.
And because he was of the same trade, he remained with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade.

And because of being the same-trade, he was staying with them and working— for they were tent-makers by trade.
