13:1  And while He is proceeding out of the temple, one of His disciples says to Him, “Teacher, look! What stones and what buildings!”
13:2  And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? A stone upon a stone will by no means be left here which will by-any-means not be torn-down”.
13:3  And while He was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning Him privately,
13:4  “Tell us— when will these things happen? And what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?”
13:5  And Jesus began to say to them: “Be watching out that no one may deceive you.
13:6  Many will come on the basis of My name, saying that ‘I am the One’. And they will deceive many.
13:7  And whenever you hear-of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. They must take place, but it is not yet the end.
13:8  For nation will arise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines. These things are a beginning of birth-pains.
13:9  But you— be watching yourselves. They will hand you over to councils. And you will be beaten in synagogues. And you will be stood before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them.
13:10  And the good-news must first be proclaimed to all the nations.
13:11  And whenever they lead you while handing you over, do not be anxious-beforehand as to what you should speak. But whatever is given to you in that hour, speak this. For you are not the ones speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
13:12  And brother will hand-over brother to death, and a father his child. And children will rise-up-in-rebellion against parents, and they will put them to death.
13:13  And you will be being hated by all because of My name. But the one having endured to the end— this one will be saved.
13:14  “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he should not (let the one reading understand), then let the ones in Judea be fleeing to the mountains.
13:15  And let the one upon the housetop not go down nor go in to take anything out of his house.
13:16  And let the one in the field not turn-back to the things behind to take his cloak.
13:17  And woe to the ones having a child in the womb, and to the ones nursing in those days.
13:18  And be praying that it may not take place in winter.
13:19  For those days will be an affliction such-as has not taken place such-as-this since the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will take place [again].
13:20  And if the Lord had not shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved. But He shortened the days for the sake of the chosen ones whom He chose.
13:21  And then if someone says to you, ‘Look— here is the Christ’, ‘Look— there He is’, do not be believing it.
13:22  For false-christs and false-prophets will arise, and will give signs and wonders so-as to be leading-astray, if possible, the chosen ones.
13:23  But you be watching out. I have told you everything beforehand.
13:24  “But in those days after that affliction, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its glow,
13:25  and the stars will be falling from the heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
13:26  And then they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
13:27  And at that time He will send out the angels, and He will gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the heaven.
13:28  “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch already becomes tender and grows-out its leaves, you know that the summer is near.
13:29  So also you— when you see these things taking place, you know that He is near, at the doors.
13:30  Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until which time these things all take place.
13:31  Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by-no-means pass away.
13:32  “But no one knows about that day or the hour— not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son— except the Father.
13:33  Be watching out, be keeping-alert, for you do not know when the time is.
13:34  It is like a man away-on-a-journey. Having left his house and having given authority to his slaves— to each as to his work— he also commanded the doorkeeper that he should be keeping-watch.
13:35  Therefore, keep watching— for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether evening or midnight or rooster-crowing or early-morning—
13:36  that having come suddenly, he may not find you sleeping.
13:37  And what I say to you I say to everyone: ‘Keep watching’”.
