3:1 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you · Gentiles—
3:2 assuming that you have heard about the stewardship of the grace of God that was given to me for you,
3:3 that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I have already written briefly.
3:4 Accordingly, when you read this you will be able to understand · my insight into the mystery of Christ,
3:5 which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit,
3:6 namely, that the Gentiles are joint heirs, · fellow members of the body and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
3:7 Of this gospel I became a servant according to the gift of God’s grace, · which was given to me by the exercise of his power.
3:8 To me, the very least of all the saints, this grace was given: · to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
3:9 and to make it plain to all what is the administration of the mystery, which was kept hidden for · ages in · God who created · all things,
3:10 in order that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and · authorities in the heavenly realms,
3:11 according to the eternal purpose · that he accomplished in · Christ Jesus · our Lord,
3:12 in whom we have · boldness and confident access through · faith in him.
3:13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of · my sufferings on your behalf, which are your glory.
3:14 For this reason I bow · my knees before the Father,
3:15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
3:16 in order that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through · his Spirit in your inner being,
3:17 that Christ may dwell · in your hearts through · faith, · rooted and grounded in love,
3:18 in order that you may be empowered to grasp with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,
3:19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses · knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
3:20 Now to the one who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or imagine, according to the power that is working within us,
3:21 to him be · glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all · generations, · forever and · ever! Amen.
