| 96:1 | | Read! In the name of your Lord Who created | | 96:2 | | "created man from a (tiny) clot, clinging (to its mother)," | | 96:3 | | Read! And your Lord is Most Generous | | 96:4 | | Who taught by the Pen | | 96:5 | | taught man what he did not know | | 96:6 | | "No, but truly man is arrogant;" | | 96:7 | | he thinks that he needs no help (from Allah) | | 96:8 | | Surely the return (of all things) is to Allah | | 96:9 | | Have you seen the one who prevent | | 96:10 | | a servant (of Allah) from praying | | 96:11 | | "Have you considered whether he is following guidance," | | 96:12 | | or encourages righteousness | | 96:13 | | Have you considered: what if he denies (the truth) and turns away | | 96:14 | | Does he not know that Allah sees (him) | | 96:15 | | "No, surely, if he does not stop We will grab him by his forelock;" | | 96:16 | | "a lying, sinful forelock;" | | 96:17 | | then let him call his friends and protectors (as if thy could help) | | 96:18 | | We will call the angels of punishment (to deal with him) | | 96:19 | | "No! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and draw near (to Allah)." |
