| | Faridul Haque rendition of Surah The Clot, Read(al-`Alaq) --- |
---|
96:1 | | Read with the name of your Lord Who created | 96:2 | | Created man from a clot | 96:3 | | Read, and your Lord only is the Most Beneficent | 96:4 | | The One Who taught to write with the pen | 96:5 | | The One Who taught man all what he did not know | 96:6 | | Yes indeed, man is surely rebellious | 96:7 | | As he considers himself independent | 96:8 | | Indeed towards your Lord only is the return | 96:9 | | What is your opinion – regarding him who forbids | 96:10 | | A bondman when he offers the prayer | 96:11 | | What is your opinion – if he were upon guidance | 96:12 | | He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be | 96:13 | | What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state | 96:14 | | Did he not realise that Allah is watching | 96:15 | | Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock | 96:16 | | A forelock that lies, is sinful | 96:17 | | So let him now call his gang | 96:18 | | We will now call the guards | 96:19 | | Yes indeed; do not listen to him - and prostrate, and become close to Us.
