| 91:1 | | (I swear) by the sun and its radiant light | | 91:2 | | And the moon that trails (and reflects) its light | | 91:3 | | By the day that reveals (the sun) | | 91:4 | | And the night that veils it | | 91:5 | | (I swear) by the sky, and (by) Him Who made it | | 91:6 | | And (by) the earth, and (by) Him Who spread it | | 91:7 | | By the soul, and by Him Who perfected it | | 91:8 | | Then, inspired in it the (conscience, the sense of) wrong and right | | 91:9 | | Successful is the one, who (nurtured and) purified (his soul) | | 91:10 | | A (dismal) failure is the one who (suppressed and) debased (his soul) | | 91:11 | | The (people of) ´Samood´ denied (the truth) with utter arrogance | | 91:12 | | The meanest among them was dispatched | | 91:13 | | (Against) the messenger of Allah (who) warned them saying, "(Do not attack) this camel of Allah; let it (roam and) drink (freely)." | | 91:14 | | But they refused, and slashed its hamstring. Therefore, as a consequence of their sins, their Lord destroyed them completely; He totally demolished their dwellings | | 91:15 | | For He does not fear (any) consequence |
