| 88:1 | | Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you | | 88:2 | | Many a face will be disgraced on that day | | 88:3 | | Labouring, striving hard | | 88:4 | | (Yet) Going into the blazing fire | | 88:5 | | Made to drink water from the boiling hot spring | | 88:6 | | There is no food for them except thorns of fire | | 88:7 | | Which neither give strength nor satisfy the hunger | | 88:8 | | Many a face will be in serenity on that day | | 88:9 | | Rejoicing over their efforts | | 88:10 | | In a high Garden | | 88:11 | | In which they will not hear any lewd speech | | 88:12 | | In it is a flowing spring | | 88:13 | | In which are high thrones | | 88:14 | | And chosen goblets | | 88:15 | | And arranged carpets | | 88:16 | | And linen spread out | | 88:17 | | So do they not see the camel – how it has been created | | 88:18 | | And the heaven - how it has been raised | | 88:19 | | And the mountains - how they have been established | | 88:20 | | And the earth - how it has been spread out | | 88:21 | | Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah. | | 88:22 | | You are not at all a guardian over them | | 88:23 | | Except whoever turns away and disbelieves | | 88:24 | | So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment | | 88:25 | | Indeed only towards Us is their retur | | 88:26 | | Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning |
