| 85:1 | | By heaven of the constellations | | 85:2 | | by the promised day | | 85:3 | | by the witness and the witnessed | | 85:4 | | slain were the Men of the Pit | | 85:5 | | the fire abounding in fuel | | 85:6 | | when they were seated over i | | 85:7 | | and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers | | 85:8 | | They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable | | 85:9 | | God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything | | 85:10 | | Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning | | 85:11 | | Those who believe, and do righteous deeds, for them await gardens underneath which rivers flow; that is the great triumph | | 85:12 | | Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible | | 85:13 | | Surely it is He who originates, and brings again | | 85:14 | | and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving | | 85:15 | | Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious | | 85:16 | | Performer of what He desires | | 85:17 | | Hast thou received the story of the hosts | | 85:18 | | Pharaoh and Thamood | | 85:19 | | Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies | | 85:20 | | and God is behind them, encompassing | | 85:21 | | Nay, but it is a glorious Koran | | 85:22 | | in a guarded tablet |
