| 84:1 | | When the sky is ripped! |
| 84:2 | | [When it] heeds its Lord! And it must! |
| 84:3 | | When the earth is flattened! |
| 84:4 | | [When it] erupts with what is in it and becomes empty! |
| 84:5 | | [When it] heeds its Lord! And it must! |
| 84:6 | | O Humanity, truly, you are toiling onward towards your Lord, with effort, but you will meet Him. |
| 84:7 | | One who is given his/her record in the right hand… |
| 84:8 | | …will receive an easy reckoning for his/her account. |
| 84:9 | | He/she will turn to his/her people, rejoicing. |
| 84:10 | | The one who is given his/her record behind his/her back… |
| 84:11 | | …will soon cry for destruction. |
| 84:12 | | He/she will enter a blazing fire. |
| 84:13 | | He/she certainly went among his/her people, gleefully. |
| 84:14 | | He/she really thought that there was no return [to Allah]. |
| 84:15 | | How senseless! Truly, the Lord was always watching him/her. |
| 84:16 | | Oh, I attest by the glow of sunset,… |
| 84:17 | | …the night and all it gathers,… |
| 84:18 | | …and the moon in its fullness. |
| 84:19 | | You will certainly journey from one point to another. |
| 84:20 | | What is wrong with (the unbelievers) that they won’t believe? |
| 84:21 | | When the Qur’an is read to them, they do not prostrate. |
| 84:22 | | On the contrary, they reject it. |
| 84:23 | | Allah has full knowledge of what [ill thoughts] they harbor. |
| 84:24 | | So proclaim to them a harsh penalty. |
| 84:25 | | The exception is for those who believe and work righteous deeds. For them is an infallible reward. |
