| | Musharraf Hussain rendition of Surah Those Who Drag Forth, Soul-snatchers, Those Who Pulled Out(an-Nazi`at) --- |
---|
79:1 | | By the angels who snatch human souls, |
79:2 | | the angels who take away human souls nimbly, |
79:3 | | the angels floating naturally, |
79:4 | | the angels speeding ahead, |
79:5 | | the Angels managing Heavenly affairs. You will certainly be resurrected, |
79:6 | | on the Day the Trumpet is sounded for the first time, |
79:7 | | then followed by the second blast. |
79:8 | | Hearts will beat fast that Day, |
79:9 | | their eyes downcast. |
79:10 | | Today they ask, “Will we be returned to our previous state, |
79:11 | | when we are rotten bones?” |
79:12 | | Commenting on it they say, “That would be a useless exercise!” |
79:13 | | It will only take a single Trumpet blast, |
79:14 | | and they will be back on open ground |
79:15 | | Has the story of Musa reached you? |
79:16 | | When His Lord called out to him in the blessed valley of Tuwa: |
79:17 | | “Go to the Pharaoh, he is arrogant, |
79:18 | | and say to him, ‘Would you like to purify yourself spiritually? |
79:19 | | I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may be mindful.’” |
79:20 | | So he showed him the greatest miracle, |
79:21 | | but he denied and disobeyed; |
79:22 | | then turned his back and rushed |
79:23 | | to gather together the magicians, and announced: |
79:24 | | “I am your highest lord”. |
79:25 | | So, Allah punished him by making an example of him in this world and the Hereafter. |
79:26 | | There are lessons for the one who fears His Lord |
79:27 | | Are you more difficult to create, or the sky, which He raised up? |
79:28 | | He raised and perfected its canopy, |
79:29 | | and darkened its night and brought about bright morning light, |
79:30 | | and the Earth after that, which He spread out. |
79:31 | | He produced its spring water and its green pastures. |
79:32 | | He fixed the mountains in their place; |
79:33 | | all this is a provision for you and your animals. |
79:34 | | So when the mighty catastrophe comes, |
79:35 | | that Day humans will remember what they accomplished, |
79:36 | | when they will see the Blazing Flames clearly – |
79:37 | | then the one who was disobedient, |
79:38 | | and preferred the worldly life, |
79:39 | | the Blazing Fire will be his home. |
79:40 | | But the one who feared standing before His Lord and stopped himself from following his lusts, |
79:41 | | he will be at home, in Paradise. |
79:42 | | They ask you Prophet about the Hour: “What is its fixed time?” |
79:43 | | What can you tell them about that? |
79:44 | | Only your Lord knows its fixed time. |
79:45 | | You are a warner for the one who fears it. |
79:46 | | The Day they see it, they’ll realise, the worldly life was only an evening, or a morning |
