| 77:1 | | By the winds that blow non-stop, |
| 77:2 | | the strong gusty winds, |
| 77:3 | | the scattering winds, |
| 77:4 | | the shearing winds that forcefully separate, |
| 77:5 | | and I swear by the angels who deliver a reminder, |
| 77:6 | | sometimes a prayer and sometimes a warning, |
| 77:7 | | what you’ve been promised will happen |
| 77:8 | | When the stars’ light is faded, |
| 77:9 | | when the sky is cleaved, |
| 77:10 | | when the mountains are crumbled to dust, |
| 77:11 | | when the appointed term for the messengers finally comes – |
| 77:12 | | for which Day has this been set for? |
| 77:13 | | The Day of Decision. |
| 77:14 | | What will explain to you what the Day of Decision is? |
| 77:15 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers |
| 77:16 | | Didn’t We destroy the previous generations? |
| 77:17 | | We shall do the same to this one; |
| 77:18 | | Our way of dealing with the sinners. |
| 77:19 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers! |
| 77:20 | | Didn’t We create you out of an embarrassing fluid? |
| 77:21 | | That We lodged in the womb |
| 77:22 | | for a fixed period, |
| 77:23 | | precisely determined by Us; we are excellent at determining its length. |
| 77:24 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers! |
| 77:25 | | Didn’t We make the Earth a place for holding back |
| 77:26 | | the living and the dead? |
| 77:27 | | Didn’t We make lofty fixed mountains and give you sweet water to drink? |

| 77:29 | | “Go to the place, you used to deny! |
| 77:30 | | Go in to the shade of the smoke that rises in three columns!” |
| 77:31 | | This will provide neither cool shade nor safety from the heat of the flames. |
| 77:32 | | It throws out columns of sparks like tall towers, |
| 77:33 | | like pieces of copper. |
| 77:34 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers! |
| 77:35 | | Today, they won’t speak, |
| 77:36 | | nor be allowed to make excuses for themselves. |
| 77:37 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers. |
| 77:38 | | This is the Day of Decision, We’ll gather you and all the previous generations. |
| 77:39 | | If you’ve devised a plot against Me then try it! |
| 77:40 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers |
| 77:41 | | The righteous will enjoy themselves in cool shade and gushing springs, |
| 77:42 | | and their favourite fruits. |
| 77:43 | | They will be told: “Eat, drink and be merry for what you did.” |
| 77:44 | | That’s how We reward the righteous people. |
| 77:45 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers! |
| 77:46 | | Tell the disbelievers: “Eat and enjoy yourselves for a while; you are sinners”. |
| 77:47 | | A Day of great loss for the deniers! |
| 77:48 | | When they were told, “Bow for prayer,” they didn’t bow. |

| 77:50 | | So which revelation after this will they believe |
