| 76:1 | | Has there not been over Man a long period of Time when he was a thing not worth mentioning |
| 76:2 | | Surely We created Man from a drop of mingled semen, in order to try him: so We gave him hearing and sight |
| 76:3 | | Surely We showed him the Way: whether he be grateful or ungrateful (is up to him) |
| 76:4 | | We have prepared Chains, Yokes and a Blazing Fire for the Rejectors |
| 76:5 | | Verily, the Righteous drink of a cup; the mixture of which is (like) camphor |
| 76:6 | | A fountain, where the servants of Allah drink, flows in abundance (wherever they wish) |
| 76:7 | | They fu{fill (their) vows and fear a Day, the chastisement of which is widespread |
| 76:8 | | And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captiv |
| 76:9 | | (Sayin)g: We feed you for the sake of Allah alone: no reward do we desire from you, nor thanks |
| 76:10 | | We only fear from our Lord a Day, frowningly severe |
| 76:11 | | Therefore, Allah will guard them against the evil of that Day, and will grant over them a Light of Realty and a (blissful) joy |
| 76:12 | | And Allah will reward them for their patience, with a garden and clothes of silk (in Heaven) |
| 76:13 | | Reclining therein upon raised thrones, they will see (find) there neither the severe (heat of) the sun nor the bitter cold (of the moon) |
| 76:14 | | And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility (being easy to pick) |
| 76:15 | | And amongst them will be passed vessels of silver and goblets of crystal |
| 76:16 | | (Bright as) crystal, made of silver; they will determine the appropriate measure |
| 76:17 | | And they will be given to drink, there, a cup (of pure drink) mixed with Zanjabeel (ginger) |
| 76:18 | | (From) a spring, there, named Salsabeel |
| 76:19 | | And round them will (serve) youths of perpetual (freshness): if you saw them, you would think them scattered pearls |
| 76:20 | | And when you look, you will see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificient |
| 76:21 | | Upon them will be Green Garments of fine silk and heavy brocade, and they will be adorned with Bracelets of silver and their Lord will give to them to drink of a Drink Pure and Holy |
| 76:22 | | Verily this is a reward for you, and your endeavour is accepted and appreciated |
| 76:23 | | Surely We, Ourselves, have revealed the Holy Qur`an to you, revealing (it) in stages |
| 76:24 | | Therefore be patient and constant to the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a guilty or an ungrateful one |
| 76:25 | | And remember the name of your Lord morning and evening |
| 76:26 | | And during the night prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him (a) long (part of the) night |
| 76:27 | | They love the fleeting life and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard and grievous |
| 76:28 | | It is We Who created them and strengthened their joints and when We will We can substitute the like of them (in their place) by a complete change |
| 76:29 | | Surely this is an admonishment, that whosoever will, (taking this straight way) may take a path unto his Lord |
| 76:30 | | Yet you will not, unless Allah Wills; surely Allah is All-knowing, All-wise |
| 76:31 | | He will admit to His Mercy whom He will, but (as for the) evildoers, He has prepared a painful penalty |
