| Arabic | | وَنَادَىٰ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ أَصْحَابَ الْجَنَّةِ أَنْ أَفِيضُوا عَلَيْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ أَوْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللَّهُ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ حَرَّمَهُمَا عَلَى الْكَافِرِين |  |

| (the) companions | | aṣḥābu | | أَصْحَابُ | | ص ح ب | |
| (of) the Fire | | l-nāri | | النَّارِ | | ن و ر | |
| (to the) companions | | aṣḥāba | | أَصْحَابَ | | ص ح ب | |
| (of) Paradise | | l-janati | | الْجَنَّةِ | | ج ن ن | |
| upon us | | ʿalaynā | | عَلَيْنَا | | ع ل ى | |
| (some) water | | l-māi | | الْمَاءِ | | م و ه | |
| has provided you | | razaqakumu | | رَزَقَكُمُ | | ر ز ق | |
| Allah." | | l-lahu | | اللَّهُ | | ا ل ه | |
| They (will) say, | | qālū | | قَالُوا | | ق و ل | |
| has forbidden both | | ḥarramahumā | | حَرَّمَهُمَا | | ح ر م | |
| the disbelievers, | | l-kāfirīna | | الْكَافِرِينَ | | ك ف ر | |
