| 63:1 | | When the hypocrites come to you they say, “We bear witness you are truly the Messenger of Allah.” Of course, Allah knows you are His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are the liars. | | 63:2 | | They take their oaths as a shield, then they stop others from coming to the path of Allah. What they are doing is evil. | | 63:3 | | First they believed, then they denied, therefore their hearts are sealed so they no longer understand. | | 63:4 | | When you see them their outward appearances please you, when they speak, you listen to them, but in reality, they are like propped-up wooden posts. They think any outcry is against them. They are the enemy, so be careful of them. May Allah destroy them; they are utterly lost | | 63:5 | | When it is said to them, “Come so the Messenger of Allah so he may ask forgiveness for you,” they shake their heads and you see them turn away arrogantly. | | 63:6 | | Whether you seek forgiveness for them or not it is the same; Allah will not forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide disobedient people. | | 63:7 | | They say, “Don’t spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they leave him.” The treasures of the Heavens and the Earth belong to Allah, but the hypocrites don’t understand. | | 63:8 | | They claim: “When we return to Madinah, the strong will expel the weak.” All strength belongs to Allah, His Messenger and the believers, but the hypocrites don’t understand this | | 63:9 | | Believers, don’t let your wealth and children turn you away from the remembrance of Allah; those who do so are the losers. | | 63:10 | | Spend from the provisions We gave you before death comes, and you say, “My Lord, if you delay my death for a little while I will go and spend in charity and become righteous.” | | 63:11 | | Allah won’t delay death for anyone once its time has come. Allah is aware of what you do |
