The Study Quran rendition of Surah The Beneficent, The Mercy Giving, The Merciful(ar-Rahman)
---
55:1 The Compassionat
55:2 taught the Quran
55:3 created man
55:4 taught him speech
55:5 The sun and the moon are upon a reckoning
55:6 And the stars and the trees prostrate
55:7 Heaven He has raised and the Balance He has set
55:8 that you transgress not in the balance
55:9 So set right the weight and fall not short in the balance
55:10 The earth has He laid down for creatures
55:11 Therein are fruit and date palms bearing sheaths
55:12 husked grains and fragrant herbs
55:13 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:14 He created man from dried clay, like earthen vessels
55:15 and He created jinn from smokeless fire
55:16 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:17 Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests
55:18 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:19 He mixed the two seas, such that they meet one another
55:20 Between them lies a barrier that they transgress not
55:21 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:22 From them come forth pearls and coral stones
55:23 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:24 His are the ships towering aloft upon the sea like standards
55:25 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:26 All that is upon it passes away
55:27 And there remains the Face of thy Lord, Possessed of Majesty and Bounty
55:28 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:29 Those in the heavens and on the earth entreat Him: every day He is upon a task
55:30 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:31 We shall have leisure for you both
55:32 weighty ones
55:33 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:34 O company of jinn and men, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass, you shall not pass, save by a warrant
55:35 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:36 A flash of fire and molten brass shall be sent against you, and you shall not prevail
55:37 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:38 When the sky shall be rent asunder and when it shall turn ruddy like hide
55:39 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:40 On that Day no man shall be questioned as to his sin; nor shall any jinn
55:41 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:42 The guilty shall be known by their marks; and they shall be seized by the forelocks and by the feet
55:43 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:44 This is Hell that the guilty deny
55:45 to and fro shall they pass, between it and boiling waters
55:46 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:47 And for one who fears standing before his Lord, there are two Gardens
55:48 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:49 Each abounding in green branches
55:50 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:51 In each are two fountains flowing
55:52 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:53 In each are two kinds of every fruit
55:54 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:55 They recline upon beds lined with rich brocade, the fruits of the two Gardens near at hand
55:56 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:57 Therein are maidens of modest gaze, whom neither man nor jinn has ever touched
55:58 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:59 Even as the ruby and as the coral stone are they
55:60 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:61 Is the reward of goodness aught but goodness? a So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:62 And beyond these two are two Gardens
55:63 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny?
55:64 of deepest green
55:65 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:66 In each are two fountains bubbling
55:67 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:68 In each are fruits, date palms, and pomegranates
55:69 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:70 Therein are good and beautiful ones
55:71 so which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:72 Maidens secluded in pavilions
55:73 so which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:74 Untouched as yet by man or jinn
55:75 so which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:76 They recline upon green cushions and beautiful wonders
55:77 So which of your Lord’s boons do you two deny
55:78 Blessed is the Name of thy Lord, Possessed of Majesty and Bounty
