| Arabic | | فَإِنْ عُثِرَ عَلَىٰ أَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّا إِثْمًا فَآخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذِينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللَّهِ لَشَهَادَتُنَا أَحَقُّ مِن شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَا إِنَّا إِذًا لَّمِنَ الظَّالِمِين |  |

| those who | alladhīna | الَّذِينَ | ا ل ل ذ ى | |
| have a lawful right | is'taḥaqqa | اسْتَحَقَّ | ح ق ق | |
| over them - | ʿalayhimu | عَلَيْهِمُ | ع ل ى | |
| the former two - | l-awlayāni | الْأَوْلَيَانِ | و ل ى | |
| and let them both swear | fayuq'simāni | فَيُقْسِمَانِ | ق س م | |
| by Allah | bil-lahi | بِاللَّهِ | ا ل ه | |
| "Surely our testimony | lashahādatunā | لَشَهَادَتُنَا | ش ه د | |
| (is) truer | aḥaqqu | أَحَقُّ | ح ق ق | |
| testimony of the other two | shahādatihimā | شَهَادَتِهِمَا | ش ه د | |
| we have transgressed. | iʿ'tadaynā | اعْتَدَيْنَا | ع د و | |
| Indeed, we | innā | إِنَّا | ا ن ن | |
| (will be) of | lamina | لَمِنَ | م ن | |
| the wrongdoers." | l-ẓālimīna | الظَّالِمِينَ | ظ ل م | |
