| And surely We will test you | | walanabluwannakum | | وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ | | ب ل و | |
| We make evident | | naʿlama | | نَعْلَمَ | | ع ل م | |
| those who strive | | l-mujāhidīna | | الْمُجَاهِدِينَ | | ج ه د | |
| among you | | minkum | | مِنْكُمْ | | م ن | |
| and the patient ones, | | wal-ṣābirīna | | وَالصَّابِرِينَ | | ص ب ر | |
| and We will test | | wanabluwā | | وَنَبْلُوَا | | ب ل و | |
| your affairs. | | akhbārakum | | أَخْبَارَكُمْ | | خ ب ر | |
