| Arabic | | وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُون |  |

| and the faith, | wal-īmāna | وَالْإِيمَانَ | ا م ن | |
| you remained | labith'tum | لَبِثْتُمْ | ل ب ث | |
| (the) Decree | kitābi | كِتَابِ | ك ت ب | |
| (of) Allah | l-lahi | اللَّهِ | ا ل ه | |
| (the) Day | yawmi | يَوْمِ | ى و م | |
| (of) Resurrection. | l-baʿthi | الْبَعْثِ | ب ع ث | |
| And this | fahādhā | فَهَذَا | ه ا ذ | |
| (is the) Day | yawmu | يَوْمُ | ى و م | |
| (of) the Resurrection | l-baʿthi | الْبَعْثِ | ب ع ث | |
| but you | walākinnakum | وَلَكِنَّكُمْ | ل ك ن | |
| knowing. | taʿlamūna | تَعْلَمُونَ | ع ل م | |
