| Arabic | | وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْمَحِيضِ قُلْ هُوَ أَذًى فَاعْتَزِلُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي الْمَحِيضِ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ حَتَّىٰ يَطْهُرْنَ فَإِذَا تَطَهَّرْنَ فَأْتُوهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَمَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ التَّوَّابِينَ وَيُحِبُّ الْمُتَطَهِّرِين |  |

| [the] menstruation. | l-maḥīḍi | الْمَحِيضِ | ح ى ض | |
| (is) a hurt, | adhan | أَذًى | ا ذ ى | |
| so keep away (from) | fa-iʿ'tazilū | فَاعْتَزِلُوا | ع ز ل | |
| [the] women | l-nisāa | النِّسَاءَ | ن س و | |
| (their) [the] menstruation. | l-maḥīḍi | الْمَحِيضِ | ح ى ض | |
| approach them | taqrabūhunna | تَقْرَبُوهُنَّ | ق ر ب | |
| they are cleansed | yaṭhur'na | يَطْهُرْنَ | ط ه ر | |
| Then when | fa-idhā | فَإِذَا | ا ذ ا | |
| they are purified, | taṭahharna | تَطَهَّرْنَ | ط ه ر | |
| then come to them | fatūhunna | فَأْتُوهُنَّ | ا ت ى | |
| has ordered you | amarakumu | أَمَرَكُمُ | ا م ر | |
| Allah." | l-lahu | اللَّهُ | ا ل ه | |
| those who turn in repentance | l-tawābīna | التَّوَّابِينَ | ت و ب | |
| and loves | wayuḥibbu | وَيُحِبُّ | ح ب ب | |
| those who purify themselves. | l-mutaṭahirīna | الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ | ط ه ر | |
