| Arabic | | وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُم مِّنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلً |  |

| And certainly, | walaqad | وَلَقَدْ | ق د | |
| We have honored | karramnā | كَرَّمْنَا | ك ر م | |
| (the) children | banī | بَنِي | ب ن و | |

| and We carried them | waḥamalnāhum | وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ | ح م ل | |
| the land | l-bari | الْبَرِّ | ب ر ر | |
| and the sea, | wal-baḥri | وَالْبَحْرِ | ب ح ر | |
| and We have provided them | warazaqnāhum | وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ | ر ز ق | |
| the good things | l-ṭayibāti | الطَّيِّبَاتِ | ط ى ب | |
| and We preferred them | wafaḍḍalnāhum | وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ | ف ض ل | |
| of those whom | mimman | مِمَّنْ | م ن | |
| We have created | khalaqnā | خَلَقْنَا | خ ل ق | |
| (with) preference. | tafḍīlan | تَفْضِيلًا | ف ض ل | |
