| Arabic | | وَلَقَدْ هَمَّتْ بِهِ وَهَمَّ بِهَا لَوْلَا أَن رَّأَىٰ بُرْهَانَ رَبِّهِ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنَصْرِفَ عَنْهُ السُّوءَ وَالْفَحْشَاءَ إِنَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا الْمُخْلَصِين | |

And certainly | walaqad | وَلَقَدْ | ق د | |
she did desire | hammat | هَمَّتْ | ه م م | |
and he would have desired | wahamma | وَهَمَّ | ه م م | |
(of) his Lord. | rabbihi | رَبِّهِ | ر ب ب | |
Thus, | kadhālika | كَذَلِكَ | ذ ل ك | |
that We might avert | linaṣrifa | لِنَصْرِفَ | ص ر ف | |
the evil | l-sūa | السُّوءَ | س و ء | |
and the immorality. | wal-faḥshāa | وَالْفَحْشَاءَ | ف ح ش | |
Indeed, he | innahu | إِنَّهُ | ا ن ن | |
Our slaves | ʿibādinā | عِبَادِنَا | ع ب د | |
the sincere. | l-mukh'laṣīna | الْمُخْلَصِينَ | خ ل ص | |
