AYAH al-Anfal 8:53

Arabic ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّرًا نِّعْمَةً أَنْعَمَهَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ zoom
Transliteration Thalika bi-anna Allaha lam yaku mughayyiran niAAmatan anAAamaha AAala qawmin hatta yughayyiroo ma bi-anfusihim waanna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun zoom

  That (is) because Allah is not One Who changes a favor which He had bestowed on a people until they change what (is) in themselves. And indeed, Allah (is) All-Hearing, All-Knowing. zoom


Generally Accepted Translations of the Meaning
Muhammad Asad This, because God would never change the blessings with which He has graced a people unless they change their inner selves: and [know] that God is all-hearing, all-seeing. zoom
