to rise so as to float in the air (dust), be turned into ashes (embers).

25:23
وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَل ٍ فَجَعَلْنَاه ُُ هَبَاء ً مَنْثُورا ً
Wa Qadimnā 'Ilá Mā `Amilū Min `Amalin Faja`alnāhu Habā'an Manthūrāan
And We turned to the works that they did, and We made it dust in the wind.
56:6
فَكَانَتْ هَبَاء ً مُنْبَثّا ً
Fakānat Habā'an Munbaththāan
So that they become only scattered dust.
