n. prop.
4:163
'Innā 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Kamā 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá Nūĥin Wa An-Nabīyīna Min Ba`dihi Wa 'Awĥaynā 'Ilá 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Ismā`īla Wa 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba Wa Al-'Asbāţi Wa `Īsá Wa 'Ayyūba Wa Yūnus Wa Hārūna Wa Sulaymāna Wa 'Ātaynā Dāwūda Zabūrāan
We have inspired you as We had inspired Noah and the prophets after him. And We had inspired Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon; and We gave David the Psalms.
6:86
Wa 'Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Yūnus Wa Lūţāan Wa Kullāan FaĐĐalnā `Alá Al-`Ālamīna
And Ishmael and Elisha and Jonah and Lot; and each We have preferred over the worlds.
10:98
Falawlā Kānat Qaryatun 'Āmanat Fanafa`ahā 'Īmānuhā 'Illā Qawma Yūnis Lammā 'Āmanū Kashafnā `Anhum `Adhāba Al-Khizyi Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Matta`nāhum 'Ilá Ĥīnin
If there was any town that benefited from its belief, then that was the people of Jonah. When they believed, We removed from them the retribution of disgrace in this worldly life, and We let them enjoy until a time.
37:139
Wa 'Inna Yūnis Lamina Al-Mursalīna
And Jonah was one of the messengers.
